「We have just returned from a week in this delightful cottage. Louise has provided everything that you would need, especially the helpful plugs on the dressing table, excellent idea! I must mention the wonderful shower too, which was so powerful.The place was spotless and looks even better in the flesh. It’s perfectly situated for the town, bus/train station and supermarkets. 「The house is very convenient for walking to the many attractions of York city centre. It was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom and a good shower. Communcation with the host was excellent. We would certainly recommend!」

「Nice place, great location only problem was the double bed is like sleeping on the floor it’s rock hard and the other bed is two singles pushed together. A week before you go you will get a email asking for a fee for insurance cover which was very annoying 」

「Such a pretty and relaxing property. A great location for exploring Scarborough and the surrounding area. House was very well equipped and spotless. We were sad to leave 1 Coastguard Cottage.」

「Our main objective in visiting York was the trains! We especially enjoyed the York Minster, the wall, the Shambles & the incredible history. The Friargate location was perfect for our group of 8. Highly recommend this comfortable, beautifully decorated home. Only snag was getting a parking ticket for parking a van in the designated spot in front of the house. 」

「Really lovely apartment just outside the city walls. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable and with everything you need for a great stay. Little extras including, sourdough bread, butter, preserves, milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, cereals, chocolate , wine and a treat from Betty's all made it feel really special and that you are very welcome. Communication before arrival was great, as was check in when we were helped with our bags down the steps and shown around. Anita (our host) was on holiday...
