Super cute and super cost friendly. Very close to the Guinness storehouse. Very cool pub at the front and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Staff are extremely helpful and kind.
Basic accommodation was expected, but unreliable Wi-Fi was not
I booked knowing it was budget accommodation, so I was perfectly happy with a no-frills place to sleep. However, one thing I was relying on was the advertised Wi-Fi, as I was travelling internationally and needed internet access.
Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout my stay. I want to give credit to the gentleman who came twice to try to fix it. He genuinely made an effort, and I appreciated his help.
Although the Wi-Fi worked briefly after his attempts, it stopped working again. I contacted Expedia requesting a refund so I could find somewhere with reliable internet, but the property told Expedia the Wi-Fi was working, and I was unable to get a refund. I stayed because I had already paid and didn't want to pay for another accommodation.
The room was also chilly, with only a sheet on the bed for cover, which made the night uncomfortable.
I can overlook a lot when booking budget accommodation. I don't expect luxury, but I do expect advertised amenities to work and basic comforts to be provided.
The most disappointing part wasn't that something went wrong. It was that I was left without a satisfactory solution when it did.
