Location: Good, in the heart of Dublin! People are not lying about the noise, it is LOUD. however, bring ear plugs and you'll be fine, bed comfy. Free tea and coffee in the room. For a one or two night stay and if your a heavy sleeper or just want an ideal place in the city I would recommend this hotel.

Ok the honest truth. The reviews are right. Loud until the morning. The bar, the tram, etc- however I knew that- I brought eat plugs and it was not an issue. Check in staff 10/10 so nice and friendly. No elevator and you have to be buzzed in each time you come up. Not an issue at all. Room was defiantly old. Beds seemed new and extremely comfortable! Good towels, linens and had a coffee machine in room refilled everyday. So overall? Not bad- in the middle of everything and was cheap. So I recommend it.

PSA: some rooms are RIGHT above a live rock music venue. Both nights of my stay I barely slept. Bring sleep aids and noise cancelling headphones. Had I paid more attention to specific location and not general area, I would have went somewhere else. Other than that, It’s about what you expect for the rating, and price was on the high side for what you get. Clean enough, decent bed, but old, poorly maintained, and overall quite small and cramped. Room was quite stuffy. Staff were friendly and helpful enough, and you really can’t go wrong with the general area, great access to many popular spots. Fine budget option if all you need is a bed, but would not recommend if you’ll be spending any time in your room or if you’re expecting a lobby / lounge area. And absolutely check the Fibber Magees event schedule for the nights you’re staying!!!! Late night Main stage events = no sleep.

The location of the hotel being close to the city centre was great however the hotel doesng live up to the photos on the site. The room smelled musty and of old cigarettes, it was smaller with uneven floors and the bed was sagging in the middke. The rooms furniture was prefabricated wood that had seen better days but getting past that what waa really annoyjng was the fact our room was right next to Fibbers night club and we were subjected to music blasting each night until at least 3a the music coming through the walls wasnt mentioned...as well as housekeeping bringing in extra towels and replacing coffee but leaving the used cups and not making the bed.

Hotel is based in really old building really bad smell on entrance and stairs. Also look from outside not very welcoming.I didn't like the doors and the lock in to my hotel room I didn't felt safe . Very average hotel .It's ok for one night stay but not more than that and i can't really say that i would recommend.

The hotel is in an excellent location. You are very close to shops, pubs, restaurants. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly too. What let's the hotel down is the cleanliness of the rooms, as well as the poor condition of the decor. I quite liked the wonky staircase because it added to its character, however I don't quite understand how someone can put a curtain rail up wonky?. The pillows are cheap and not very comfortable. There was dust at the edges of the carpets. Limescale everywhere in the bathroom, plus some extra hairs to top it off. Basically, my room needed decorating badly!!! And cleaning should be a higher standard. It wasn't a cheap accommodation either. If you don't want a noisy place to stay, I wouldn't recommend either. I think if the rooms were decorated simple but decent and the cleanliness was better I would definitely stay again.
