Nice, clean and perfect located

Very clean. Perfect for a weekend trip. Nice and modern furnitures, comfortable beds. Fully equipped kitchen with everyone a traveler will need. 20 min walk to old town via steps, taxi back will cost 60-70 kuna. Taxi to Lapad beach 90-100 kuna. Glad to had air condition in the apartment. Beautyful terrace with great view. Everything was to our full satisfaction, thank you! Recommend the offered taxi service from/to airport, very friendly and in time.

Amazing Stay

I'm so glad we stayed in Maja's apartment. She was so easy to correspond with, quick to respond and making our arrangements was trouble-free. Her apartment is spotless and well set out. We love the windows which allowed cross-ventilation in the heat of the day (it seemed like a shame to turn on the a/c). It is very convenient to shops, buses, tour pickups, and points of interest. She arranged for us to be picked up (and returned to the airport) and even a quick visit to the grocery store on our way in from the airport. All beds are super-comfie; and the couch as well. It became our favourite gathering and napping locale. We fell in love with the city of Dubrovnik and can't wait to return.

The photos don't lie!

Three german girls went to Dubrovnik for one week. It was a wonderful time in a lovely and modern apartment. We didn't miss anything while our self-catering, neither in the kitchen nor in the bathroom or in the other rooms. The apartment is big enough for at least four persons, also families. In the end of course the view from the balcony is amazing! Although the big street and the old town are within walking distance, we didn't hear nothing but the singing birds. We had an unforgettable holiday and we would come back at once.

Excellent place to stay in Dubrovnik.

We feel very lucky to have found this apartment for our time in Dubrovnik (June 1-5). Maja (the owner) truly cares about customer satisfaction and when communicating with her to set everything up it felt like talking to a friend. The cleanliness and comfort of the place are excellent. It's safe and quiet and we slept like babies there. Also there's the balcony. What a view! The location was excellent for us. About a 10 minute walk to the old town gates. We appreciated the steps on the way home at night to work off a little of the delicious dinner/wine/ice cream we had in in town. It feels like a home away from home and so nice to return to after the hustle & bustle of crowded old town. I confidently recommend this as a great place to stay and I hope to return some day.

Lovely stay just outside the Old City

Our family of 4 (2 parents, 2 grown kids) had a very comfortable 5 night stay. This was a great base camp for our exploration of Dubrovnik and the area. We appreciated having our airport transfer arranged for us, and being met quickly and efficiently for check-in. Amenities were just as described, and the balcony provided a lovely space for meals and sunsets (note: there is no awning, so you can really only be out there before the sun hits it). We appreciated being outside of the crush of the Old City, and managed the stairs and heat by walking DOWN and taxiing UP. If you do the same, you will quickly learn that it's a bit complicated getting dropped off at a reasonable place, as the apartment's street is not accessed by cars other than the residents. We ultimately gave the name of an apartment on the main road, which seemed to work well. This was an anticipated situation (the pre-arrival communication was great, and included maps and pointers on taxis and uber), but it still took a little learning. Then again, that's travel, right?

A stunning home from home

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful apartment for 9ngts and before our arrival Maja filled us with confidence in our booking, responding quickly and in detail to any questions posed. The apartment is 5star with tasteful interior design and great art work. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed and was top class. We hired a car for the duration and had our own allocated parking space directly outside the apartment, which was an added bonus. You do not need a car though! Everything is in easy reach. We walked into the Old Town of Dubrovnik everynight which took us 10-15mins. The sunsets were to die for and we spent many an evening watching the sunset from the spacious and well appointed balcony. It was so private as the apartment is on the top floor in a block comprising of 3 in total. We had the pleasure of meeting the neighbours who were very friendly. We would defiantly recommend this apartment to family and friends. We fell in love with Dubrovnik and will hopefully return someday. Many thanks to Maja Jo & Jane

Great apartment and location

We have just return from a 10 day stay at the apartment. I can honestly say it is one of the cleanest apartments/villa we have stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few. There was everything you needed even down to toiletries. The location could not have been better as it was central to all parts of the city and several shops nearby. Unfortunatley the weather wasn't great which meant we couldn't enjoy meals and an evening drink looking at the splendid view, just watching the rain from inside.There is an abundant supply of hot water. Some of the appliances took a little working out but there are instruction booklets but I gave up on the microwave as being fairly small and the position it was in up on a shelf I couldn't reach the controls but that was a minor problem (shame it didn't have the controls on the left). Pinky's bar was our favourite stop off on the way back as is very reasonably priced. The pizza take-away down the road is very good but we could have manage to share one as they are enormous. All in all we had an enjoyable stay and would definatley book that apartment again should we ever visit in the future. Also thank you Maro doing our airport transfer. Thank you Maja.

Fabulous Gem With a Wonderful Terrace View!

We stayed in this apartment for a week in August 2017. We loved it! Firstly, Maja, the owner, is lovely to deal with and her communication/customer service prior to our arrival, was excellent. She even arranged for airport taxi pick-up, for a small fee. She met us at the apartment and walked us through the basics, such as washing machine, dishwasher etc. The apartment itself is situated on the top floor of a well kept building, approximately a 10 minute walk (downhill) to the Old Town. The apartment was clean and very well stocked, with all the basics - in fact, one of the best stocked apartments, I have stayed in for a while. The selling point of this apartment, in my opinion, is the large terrace! The view is fabulous and even although it was VERY hot during our stay, the shade canopy helped a lot. I spent many a morning and evening sitting out there with coffee/wine and just taking in the view. I enjoyed watching the locals go about their daily business and spotting the cruise ships out at sea. I even enjoyed hanging my laundry out to dry (and that's saying something!). As mentioned earlier, the apartment is a 10 minute walk downhill to the Old Town,. Just be aware, that you have to walk back up again! We most definitely got our daily step count in, walking up and down the steps. I would suggest for those who don't like walking, that a taxi/bus would be the best option. Please don't discount this apartment because of this. I am so glad that we didn't rent an apartment in the Old Town, since we would have missed out on the fabulous sea view! We also felt it was nice to escape the August crowds, when returning to the apartment. So all in all, as other reviewers have mentioned, don't hesitate to book this bargain of an apartment! I have booked many apartments/homes over the years, and this one is high on my list, in terms of memories - it might not be as fancy as some, but it makes up for it in cleanliness, homeliness, location, helpful owner, and affordability. If we are ever in Dubrovnik again, I will most definitely be in touch with Maja. Go ahead and book it, you will not regret it!

Peaceful Retreat in Dubrovnik

As others have already posted, this place is wonderful! From the initial communication with Maya right up to the check-in with Senka. Has everything you need for at least a week. So clean and comfortable. We were extremely happy there. If you are renting a car, make sure it’s the smallest you can live with. We had, what I would call, a mid sized car and boy was it hairy driving up the very narrow lane to the apartment. All in the spirit of adventure though, right?! As others have also mentioned, it’s a steep climb up from the Old Town. So we would walk down and Uber back up. Note, the Uber driver turned out to be one of the local taxis, lol. We did an overnight in Mostar, Bosnia. So worth it! Less touristy. Take your passports for the border crossing. The little town of Ston is also worth a visit if you want an easy day trip. The second longest wall in the world, after China’s great wall. You can climb it too. I didn’t. Was so done with steep stairs by this point! Don’t hesitate to book Maja’s place. You will not be disappointed.

What a great introduction to Croatia!

The terrace was absolutely amazing with a view of the Adriatic for breakfast and enjoying our wine in the evening. This apartment was very well appointed, spacious for the 3 of us and we really enjoyed our 6 nights here. Word of warning however, if you don't want to walk up 377 stairs from Old Town to the apartment take the #3 bus outside Pile Gate (buy a ticket at the kiosk). Then it's only about 140 stairs. We're in our 60s and 70s but we did it a few times in 30+ degree heat! The view from the terrace was worth the climb! Thank you Maya and Senna!

A lovely apartment

My wife and I stayed for a week. The apartment was excellent in every way. It was extremely clean, well equipped with everything you could need. Instructions and guides were helpful. It may not be the easiest place to find if you are new to Dubrovnik but it was very quiet. The balcony was a lovely place to sit in the morning for breakfast and equally lovely with a glass of wine in the evening. Dubrovnik has lots of steps (we counted about 300 from Old Town to the apartment but it was a peaceful and lovely sot to return to.

Wunderbare 2 Wochen

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt: die Wohnung ist hervorragend ausgestattet, es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht - über die Begrüßungsüberraschung wie Milch, Saft, Obst, Kaffee, Marmelade und Schnaps haben wir uns gefreut. Weiterhin ist die Wohnung ideal gelegen, um in die Altstadt und an die verschiedenen malerischen Strände zu gelangen. Allerdings gilt es, durch die Lage am Hang viele Stufen zu überwinden - wie es in Dubrovnik überall der Fall ist. Senka - die Schwester von Maja - begrüßte uns herzlich und betreute uns sehr gut. Danke auch an Maja für die vielen schnellen Informationen und guten Hinweise, so dass wir viel sehen und erleben konnten. Von der Terrasse mit dem herrlichen Ausblick und den wunderbaren Sonnenuntergängen werden wir noch lange schwärmen. Dubrovnik ist eine tolle Stadt, in der es jeden Tag etwas anderes zu entdecken gibt.

Great Dubrovnik Base

Apartment was just as advertised. It was very clean, comfortable, quiet, and well appointed for our family of four (two boys ages 13 and 11). The walk down to the old town was about 15 minutes and 20 minutes back up, not bad at all with the stairs. Highly recommended and we would stay here again if we are back in Dubrovnik.

Relaxing comfortable unit with amazing views

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights here and found it very comfortable and in a nice quiet residential area away from the bustle of old town but still in nice walking distance. The unit was nicely renovated with comfortable bed, nice kitchen well equipped with lots of pots, pans and dishes. It was also very clean.The best part was watching the sunsets at night over the ocean and seeing a large part of the city from the balcony. This has to be one of the best views in the city being up on the mountain overlooking everything.We sat on the balcony and had coffee in the morning and sat out every night with a glass of wine. Can't beat this. Would stay here again. Glen Kennedy

First class accommodations

It was a little hard to find but once we were there, it was terrific. Walking up and down the stairs to Dubrovnik helped work off the excellent food we had while inside the walls. Quiet with a nice view. Maya's sister met us and was so nice - could not have had a better stay.

A lovely apartment with beautiful views.

A spotlessly clean, comfortable apartment, the terrace is such a bonus with beautiful views. All mod cons with lots of little touches to add extra convenience and comfort. Dubrovnik is a wonderful city, everyone we came across was friendly and helpful. Yes there are steps but please don’t let that point to you off! We had a fantastic time! Thoroughly recommend!

Great appartment in good location

Lovely, clean, quiet & well furnished appartment in a good location for exploring the Old Town. Great balcony for relaxing on. We would definitely recommend staying here & hope to return in the future to explore more of Dubrovnik & the fabulous islands near by.

Flott leilighet, som jeg absolutt anbefaler .

Ferieboligen var svært flott på alle måter. Leiligheten var ryddig og ren, hadde høy kvalitet på inventar og inneholdt alt som vi hadde behov for. Den hadde også en flott utsikt fra balkongen Plasseringen var også svært god. Kun en kort spasertur fra gamlebyen. Ellers en svært hyggelig og oppmerksom vertinne.

Incredible panoramic view, great central location, high end quality fittings and equipment.

Four of us stayed in early June 2018. We received a very warm welcome and were very pleased that there were several provisions so that we had no need to go shopping immediately, including wine and milk in the fridge, jam and homemade grappa, even things like washing up liquid, shower gel etc. All very welcome. The apartment is furnished to a very high standard including a fabulous kitchen with Smeg gear throughout. The kitchen was so good that we cooked a lot of our evening meals there which saves a huge amount on eating out, which can be quite costly, especially in the old town itself. We found that the best way to get around was Uber, just make sure you're on a main road near a landmark when you order, as some minor roads are not on their system. We found the cheapest supermarket to be Maxi Konzum, although the price of wine was the same in the local store which is called Pimo. Be sure to realise that there are lots of steps in Dubrovnik, we soon realised that an Uber from town was the best, especially in the hottest part of the day to avoid most of the 373 (we counted them) steps. Would we go again? Absolutely. Would we stay at this apartment? Most definitely. Highly recommended.

Well equipped lovely apartment

We really enjoyed our stay - the airport pick ups and drop offs went really well and we were met by the owners sister who showed us round. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped- we loved Dubrovnik. It took about 15 minutes to walk to the old city and 20 minutes on way back due to uphill and number of stairs. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony- only small negative is proximity of main road which can be heard from balcony, otherwise perfect- would recommend.

Perfect for us

Have just spent a lovely few days staying at this apartment. The apartment is exceptionally clean, all the beds were comfortable, a good shower with no lack of hot water and with a lovely balcony to sit out on with views over Dubrovnik and the sea. The apartment is up on the hill but well worth the climb up the steps. Just take your time and enjoy the views.
