We were passing through Duluth on a motorcycle trip. I booked it and was not disappointed. We checked in-loved the room and the property. We walked down to Sir Benedict’s to meet up with family for food and a beer. Everything in the room was clean, worked and had clear instructions. Make sure to read the instructions on the doors about the locks. Would definitely stay here again

Didn’t realize this room was not in main house. Steep stairs up to room. Met property manager just by coincidence when arrived for check in. Seemed a little peeved when I asked for assistance to get into the room. Asked if I had received an email with instructions.

Noisy appliances and no hot water for hours after one short shower. No ice or instructions on how to get ice. TV very hard to use and find any local channels for free. No instructions on where to find danishes. The biggest issue was the hot water.

The property is gorgeous. Spent one night in the carriage house with my daughter. Soaked in Jacuzzi tub. I am a gardener and loved all the quiet places to sit! Would definitely recommend and book again!

My wife and I got away for a wonderful weekend at the Brule River Retreat guest house, one of three units in the old carriage house outside the Salyard mansion. Everything about the property exceeded expectations, especially the fact that, in spring, the apartment is surrounded by 50+ year old lilac bushes that blossomed while we were there. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back.
