「Love love love! Dec-2018: Stayed for 2-nts with the family (6 adults and 5 (all under 9yrs) children) and loved the location, space and freedom that Cumnock Knowes afforded us. You can't miss the property as it stands proud on the horizon as you drive south, out of Carsphairn. The woodland that has been removed from around the house would have offered some protection from the elements, but the views from every window were fantastic - hopefully replanting is in the plans for the future. Allthough Its in the countryside, with a lot of nature around (trees, River, sheep, Cattle, birds and Flowers- you have a stabile wifi Connection. So What ever you seek- you are able to totally relax and disconnect or connect via the net. The Host family is Nice and live also on the ground in case you Need anything. 「Great location, friendly hosts, clean and spacious. We had a wonderful stay in this quiet, secluded farm cottage. Even though we were only 30minutes from Dumfries, it felt like we were deep in the country. Highly recommended for a family stay.」

「Absolutely a beautiful place to stay with a large group. This enormous facility comes with huge bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. It is so nice to sleep in rooms that feel sound proof. Having a washer and dryer was very helpful, especially at the end of our long trip through Europe.」

「A very comfortable and warm house,we all enjoyed ourselves,4 adults and the dogs!Joan and her husband were very friendly,we were welcomed by Joan on our arrival.It was hsrd to.leave as we were settled and comfortable. Another lovely part of Dumfries and Galloway.We enjoyed the animals on the farm.Thanks again for making us feel welcome,the welcome tray of goodies also .Happy New Year.」

「House is very well designed and furnished to a very high standard and us only a 10 minute walk from the village and 5 minute walk to the golf course. The views from the decking area are beautiful. We were met by our host Kate who could not have been more helpful. Lots of beautiful walks with breath taking scenery.」

「We loved this house was close to where we needed. The only thing disappointing was we had to rush to be out by 10 with there being a few of us as well. We did text to see if the house was being taken the next night to see if we could add another night but got no reply and was showing available online but didn’t want to do it online again as we would of had two cleaning charges. 「The house was perfect for our family of 7, with four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All rooms were a good size with a large kitchen dinner. The bonus for us with two teenage grandchildren was the pool table and table tennis. Would go back anytime.」

「Really away from it all location which made travel a bit longer but so worthwhile. Large comfortable warm lodge with loads of stuff for young kids, masses of space inside and out and brilliant old style bedrooms. Lovely, helpful available onsite housekeepers. Great trip, totally worth the drive.」
