Our stay in mid-June was relaxing. We especially enjoyed the view of a pastoral hillside across the lake.
The cottage itself is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is compact, well stocked and efficient. The owners say in their description that they enjoy entertaining - the cottage seems well suited to that purpose, especially the stocked bar. We don't drink and were shocked to find free liquor there. All of the dining room chairs are so high that your feet don't touch the ground. We didn't find them comfortable for sitting or computer use. Same for the chairs around the table on the deck. The lighting is not very good for reading, but the couch and recliner are quite comfortable.
Sleeping was good. Very quiet. A firm mattress, but sheets were too small. Quiet air conditioning. Good temperature, once we learned how to adjust the thermostats.
Little boat traffic, as school was still in session. Fishing was not good even though June 15 was the opening day for bass. On one day, I kayaked for over an hour and only saw one other boat.
There is good shade for lounging by the lake in the morning, but little in the afternoon when it is hot. The patio chairs and ottomans are very comfortable but not the chairs by the lake. The geese like the shore, so goose poop was an issue. The dock is excellent and there were several kiddie kayaks and paddle boards. There was a canoe, but no canoe paddles.
In summary, a tidy, relaxing cottage despite minor inconveniences.
