Karen and Martin were excellent hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay at their lodge. The lodge was spotlessly clean, spacious and equipped with everything we would need, including a welcome package containing essentials for the first day. We recommend this property to anyone who likes a quiet place in this beautiful part of East Anglia.

We had a wonderful few days at The Lodge which is in a great location, secluded in the countryside and yet so near to the lovely villages of Thaxted and Saffron Walden. The lodge has been beautifully and tastefully decorated with thought being given to both comfort and practicality. Everything we could possibly have wanted was provided. Our hosts Karen and Martin were excellent, friendly and helpful, communicating in advance of our arrival and ensuring we had everything we needed. The welcome pack provided was a real treat too including some delicious home made produce, some treats and some essentials. We had a wonderful stay and would love to visit again some time.

Amazing lodge.

Amazing lodge. We had a great few nights. The hamper on arrival was a welcome surprise. Great jams and chutneys (made by the host), delicious! Very well equipped lodge so no need to bring anything with you.

Brilliant location, comfortable beds and very clean property with loads of outside space or our dog. If in the area again would definitely book this property.
