"We didn’t “stay” at the Strater Hotel we had an “experience”.The Strater Hotel is a step back in time. The Strater is the most unique hotel I’ve ever visited . The staff was excellent. The Diamond Belle Saloon and the Office Spiritorium both had live music both nights we visited them. The atmosphere was amazing and the service and food were excellent. We are looking forward to time traveling at the Strater the next time we visit Durango."

"The room temperature was very comfortable. The rooms was clean and stocked with everything I needed. On the other hand the shower contraption from the tub spigot was awful."

"Comfortable bed and nice layout. Couch was a bit stained. Breakfast was typical. Location to trail along river was really nice. Love the EV chargers! Thank you for having them available, it was a big reason why we selected your hotel. "

"The room was very clean and comfortable. Love the couch as sitting so often missing in motel rooms. For us, being near the breakfast room was great although it could be noisy at times. We loved the close proximity to the Durango and Silverton railroad and nearby restaurants. "

"The front desk associate Doug is always an amazing person with warm welcomes and greets us. Everytime I stay in Durango I stay here. Doug is always helpful and the breakfast biscuits and gravy are legendary with the coffee!!! "
