Beautiful and Cozy

This was a perfect place very close to purgatory ski resort! The cabin was very clean and equipped with everything we needed and were looking for on a ski/ snowboarding weekend.

Purgatory

A little gem very close to Purgatory Mtn. Perfect for our college reunion. True log cabin felt like home. New hot tub was a plus after long days of skiing. Only knock, the coffee pot could use upgrading (add a Keurig) and some new pots and pans would be helpful. Would definitely return.

Cozy and charming but bring your own baby gate

We loved our week long stay at Bear Hollow Cabin. The location was fantastic! It felt very private and secluded without being too far from amenities. It was very clean! Cluttered with decor, but clean. The basement bedroom felt very far away so our two young children slept in the bedroom off of the kitchen while my husband and I slept with the baby in the loft (very happy I packed the pack n play). The baby gate is broken so make sure to bring your own if you have a crawler! It would have made our stay much more relaxing, not worrying about baby tumbling down the large wooden steps. Washer and dryer was fantastic - pods provided. We absolutely loved the back deck and hot tub. Overall, a great stay. We would love to return someday.

Very cozy and comfortable cabin. We had a fun time staying at this property. Hot tub was not working the days we were there so that was a little sad.

The place is great but the WiFi never worked and the toilet upstairs didn’t flush without taking off the back and messing with it.

Great Location to Explore SW Colorado!

Bear Hollow Cabin is a great place to settle in cozy log cabin that has all the comforts of home while you explore the surrounding area. It can accommodate a small to medium sized family or three couples comfortably. We stayed here as our base area and explored SW Colorado and Fly fished in the the local area. The cabin is situated in an area with few homes so there is a lot of privacy and the area is extremely quiet. There is plenty of outdoor seating and even a hot tub! I would definitely stay here again!

Great family place

Plenty of room and great amenities! Great location to Durango, Bar D Chuckwagon and Purgatory summer activities. Take bug spray though, the mosquitoes will carry you away! I would highly recommend this lace.

Great Cabin in the Durango AREA

We loved our Cabin and the hot tub. The children especially liked the private bedrooms and baths. This is a must stay if you plan to be in Durango a few days to enjoy all the scenery, rafting rides and sight seeing day trips! I would suggest an easier way to take out the garbage to an on site dumpster with lock because my husband never could find the one they left instructions for. But was a very comfortable and memorable stay in Beach Hollow Cabin!

Place was nice. A little on the dusty side. Needs: 1. Dusting 2. Couple more fans 3. New pillows Was comfortable and a little overpriced but enjoyable and not misrepresented.

Do not recommend

We arrived to the property around 530 pm in December... it was dark! There were no outside lights on to make getting into the lockbox easier. Once we were in, there were several additional rules that were never mentioned in the listing. I wouldn't have rented this specific property if these additional rules were previously mentioned. The house was structurally gorgeous but, that was soon overtaken by the musty/mildew smell, layers of dust, cobwebs, Black widow looking spiders, dirty dishes, sandpaper for toilet paper, items from previous renters left on the floor, etc... I didn't check the reviews until after we came into these conditions and it's a lesson I have learned the hard way. I see many have left similar reviews on the lack of cleanliness and the responses are all the same, "Our Housekeepers have 'upped their cleaning 'game'". Total BS!!! The amount of dust and mustyness had our allergies flared so much that we almost spent our 2nd night in a hotel. We were very quick at checking out and thankful to be done with this property I spent a lot of money for this property and the sheer yuck of this place disgusts me! Don't bother clicking on the strict Covid cleaning protocol because a simple clean wasn't even done! You're expected to drive your trash up the road, which (for what I paid) I would think trash service is included?!? They have a wood burning stove with cut wood everywhere... yet, signs/notes stating you must provide your own wood?!? All in all, I will NEVER rent through Vrbo or Vacasa ever again! Highly disappointed P.s. where can I upload the photos?

Gorgeous Location, Cozy Cabin

We loved the stunning setting this cabin sits in. Sitting in the hot tub surrounded by pines and aspens was pretty epic. My friend and I enjoyed walking through the neighborhood to see the gorgeous homes in the area. It was nice to be so close to Lake Haviland and only 20 minutes away from Durango. We met the owner. Appreciated how quickly he came out when we had an issue. (It was resolved) Really nice person The cabin is cozy. Perfect for a multi-family gathering as there's three levels and a large outdoor porch. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook several big meals. Highly recommend this cabin!
