Great cabin with great location

The Pinecone Cabin was an optimal place for our ski team to stay in. Really close to Purgatory Ski Resort, but tucked away in a great location. The house was very clean and had plenty of room to stretch out. We will definitely look to stay here again if we ever come back!

Beautiful cabin retreat

The property was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Extremely clean and check in and out was easy. Location was perfect short walk to a beautiful lake and close to purgatory resort. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin!

This house was the perfect size for our family group of 10. We also appreciated that the kitchen had everything we could need including extras such as paper towels. The hot tub was a big hit with our group. Most of all, the location was so beautiful.

We had a group of 9 during our stay. It was a comfortable house for everyone. We had a great time. The proximity to Purgatory Ski Resprt was ideal. We hope to return in the future!

Large house close to the slopes!

We had our annual Family Ski Trip at Purgatory, and this house was perfect for everyone! The location is so close to the mountain, and there are enough rooms for everyone. Plus the “mud room” provides plenty of space for everyone’s ski equipment. And the hot tub is a great! Highly recommend!

Awesome house for a big family vacation. There was 10 of us and plenty of room. Only down side was besides the master bedroom all of the beds were really uncomfortable.

Close to purgatory

7 of us stayed at this cabin, it was a great place to stay about a 5 minute drive to purgatory for snowboarding. Plenty of space for all of us with an extra room, we had a great experience with the house and our dogs loved playing out in the snow!

Incredible Home/Stay

We had an incredible stay. The house has plenty of room and was so warm and cozy. There was a record amount of snow when we stayed. We really enjoyed our “snow in” day watching DVD’s and playing games that were all provided. Owner communication was stellar. We will be back, for sure.

Awesome cabin!!

Cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway. It had everything you needed to cook and for entertainment! Plenty of space for 5 bedrooms! The hot tub was a plus! We had a lot of snow there when we went and they plowed the roads making it easy to get in and out. It is very close to Purg making it quick to go and come. Owner was very easy to work with. Would love to stay there again!

Couldn't have asked for a better place

Everything was as-advertised. Location is perfect for exploring the San Juans, halfway between Silverton and Durango. The place and hot tub were clean and Kevin was responsive to questions. When we go back to Durango area again I will be sure to check with Kevin to see if the place is available to use again.

Family wedding celebration

The home was spacious and accommodating to our family! We enjoyed the large dining table for numerous family meals? The kitchen was wonderful with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and even some helpful supplies for meal preparation. The owner was great and had great communication! The pinecone cabin will always hold great memories for our family!

Beautiful Setting

We were there for a skiing vacation. The home was a good fit for our family of 9. It was in a beautiful, peaceful setting surrounded by snow. One of my favorites was the long walk we took on the maintained snow covered road that went from the house to a private snow covered lake nearby. Our 7 year old granddaughter had a private ski lesson with a great instructor and was skiing well after one hour into the 4 hour lesson.

Large cabin with plenty of space to spread out. The home was clean and had a well equipped kitchen, with all items clearly marked & easy to locate. Hot tub was great and extremely clean!! Would recommend for large family get togethers. House is an older A-frame but well maintained. Highly recommend the Nugget Mountain Bar (beer, food and atmosphere), as well as Olde Schoolhouse Cafe (pizza and drink) for nearby dining options.

Stunning home in stunning location

This spacious 5 bedroom home offers all you need for a great stay away from it all. We are a family of 6 and it offered ample of space for us all. There are two bedrooms downstairs and 3 upstairs. Hot tub on the patio. A short walk takes you to private lake, not to be used by renters but the view is for free! Purgatory ski resort is a 5 min drive away (we did not ski but it’s a well known ski area). We went zip-lining in Durango which was a great experience. We also went on a few hikes in the area. Would love to come back to this place, we made some very fond memories there!

FANTASTIC Home! Loved the Hot Tub with Mountain Views!! Highly Recommend!!!

This was a wonderful home!!! Very well appointed, many separate decks where people can convene together or one can snuggle in a chair with a good book, the 5 bedrooms gave everyone their own space and room to spread out. Kitchen is equipped with every appliance, dish and utensil you could possibly need. The house is very private yet only a mile away from Purgatory ski resort; you are still close enough to town for it to be convenient but still have all the "out-of-town" feel. A great place to stay for a family or friend getaway, in the winter or in the summer! So many outdoor activities, great hiking, skiing, mountain biking, serene lake close by to enjoy on an evening stroll, incredible views! Top if off relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying a beautiful fire at the end of your day! We are all looking forward to our trip back next year!
