We had an amazing week at The Blue Eagle. The views were wonderful from the screened porch and deck. The dock was great for fishing and parking the boat. We had a great week and would definitely rent The Blue Eagle again!

From the moment we set foot into The Blue Eagle, it was clear that we were in for an extraordinary escape. The cottage offered us an unparalleled blend of serenity and accessibility that exceeded every expectation. The living room’s panoramic view of the lake painted a picturesque backdrop was uniquely soothing. Mornings were transformed into a serene ritual in the sun room, where sitting in the cozy pod chairs with a coffee in hand felt like a meditation in itself! It was clear that the hosts had put thoughtful consideration into the amenities provided; the house was well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Additionally, the range of games and books for children was a delightful surprise, especially since we had forgotten to pack any! My family can't wait to return and relive this experience in the summer. Highly recommended for anyone looking to create lasting memories with family or a group of friends!

Beautiful location, quiet, tons of wildlife. Was very excited until we dug deeper. For 2/3rds of the time we stayed here, we had no TV or Internet-which is unfortunate because we were at the location for work. Concerning safety, light was burned out in the lower bathroom shower, an air vent was falling out of the celling in the basement, first floor smoke detector in the celling didn't work (later learned that an additional detector was sitting on the fireplace), many of the doors on the back side of the building didn't lock (wooden poles were used to stop the opening of the door sort of-the poles not being long enough to stop thin people from entering. Fireplace on main level didn't work, but was fixed on day 2 of our 3 day stay. Master bathroom toilet never stopped running. Exterior door was almost impossible to open and close to the deck. Screen door fell off track on the first use. Don't even think about going into the garage-open windows that let in bugs and other rodents and dirty condition would truly scare you. Many areas had missing trim pieces around the floor areas. It was hilarious to see a cut piece for a wooden cutting board used to partially fill in a floor gap. Not making this up!! I have pictures that I sent to the management during our stay. They made an effort to fix things with minimal success. The bottom line, if you are not concerned with safety, cleanliness, attention to details, or a connection to the real world, here is the place for you
