Well situated, easy access from the airport, beautiful sea view from my room.
However, no wifi at hotel.
It would also be nice if hotel management can inform customers about load shedding schedule.
They had no vending machines, restaurant horrible, attached to noisy convention center, no WiFi, no TV remote. I asked and said they would send a guy up. Never happened.
I took a suite with the intention of treating my wife to something a bit special. The cleanliness of the suite was good but there were a few issues that irritated me. Considering the cost and the location, I was surprised to find that there were only two towels available. A small "hand-towel" and a slightly larger one. The water tasted bad but this was probably because we are not used to the EL water. This could have been somewhat offset with some complimentary bottled water, of which there was none. The rooms were a bit Spartan and there could have been some flowers (even plastic ones). The shouting and noises of the car washing that takes place across the entire front of the hotel were a bit disconcerting until we reminded ourselves that this, after all, Africa and that we should just live with these little irritations. Abandoning any ideas of a romantic evening on the veranda, we turned on the TV only to find a tiny (6 plus 2 snow) bouquet of channels that included news, cartoons and soapies. Thank goodness for an iPad and downloaded movies.
If the rooms could be more cleaner. Staff very friendly

I remember the hotel from when I was little. It was so grand and fancy. I was shocked to see the dilapidated state of the building and the area around it. The room was clean but felt dark and dingy. The view from the room was incredible. The balcony was dirty and looked like it had been ages since it was cleaned.
I was given a room 419 first the room was smelling. So I complained. Then next day they cleaned the room. Then the wifi they give you 500MB and it kept on finishing and had issues so i complained then then moved me to 319. A bigger room than the first one, it did not smell but the cupboards was broken the room had no fridge.
Great Location, spacious rooms and Friendly Staff. Would stay here again! We just wish that WIFI wasn't on a voucher based system and should be Free and available to all guests.
Nice hotel, close to the beach. Lovely staff. Rooms are too small. Still using limited data vouchers for Wi-fi which is a big put off. Beautiful views of the ocean.

A view of a beach in a run down area
The area is very run down, there was what looked like a student hostel directly outside my window with students at one stage picketing outside late into the night. The Hotel itself is pretty much as advertised and the room was huge, one of the biggest I have ever had and the balcony was overlooking the beach and was bigger than most hotel rooms - oddly there were two tables and one chair on the balcony (go figure!). The services was disinterested at best but not bad as such. It is certainly the best (only?) hotel in the area and if you have business in this area then this is the one to stay at.
Wir waren nur eine Nacht im Premier Hotel Regent. Für eine Nacht war es in Ordnung.
Das Bett war nicht das bequemste, ansonsten waren wir aber zufrieden.
Hotel had a few issues like no irons or ironing boards that they can bring to your room instead you have to go to a common room on the 4th floor with only 4 boards and irons which has to be used with all visitors at the same time so you have this long que or you have to keep going up to see if it's free to use. Some rooms don't even have air cons and the ones that do have units don't work or just blow air. Ordering room service is risky if you ask me, i thought i would play it safe and order a toasted cheese and tomato, how bad can that be well if you like hair toasted with your sarmie then cool. Complain and it took then over an hour to come to my room just to check if i was telling the truth then they would consider where they went wrong and how they would fix it. WHAT A JOKE. Staff there are very untrained. I will never go back there.
Hotel was booked and lost my reservation booked through Expedia. After I showed them my confirmation email the desk clerk made three trips back to see her manager. I told her I was not trying to be difficult I would call Expedia and let her manager work it out with them. I ended up in a room by the loud road wit a broken air conditioning unit and a safe that did not work. I had prepaid or I would have gone elsewhere. The manager of the first desk clerk should have come out and talked with me.
