「The room was pleasant for the one night stay. The exterior of the hotel is a bit rundown but we had no complaints about the room or staff, who were very pleasant.」

「The room was large and comfortable. We were not aware that the dining room closed at 2pm on Sunday as we arrived hungry at 1:45 and were left forward to an early dinner. Very disappointed. However we did enjoy a great breakfast the next morning! We had some trouble with the tv and the front desk staff was great helping us out. Beautiful grounds. Thanks.」

「The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Went over and above to make sure our stay was pleasurable. The room was in one of the buildings towards the back, which was nice, since this assured us quiet. While the property/buildings are dated, the upkeep is impeccable. Plenty of pet areas all around the property. We did not use the restaurant, nor did we take part in the free breakfast. We would stay here again if we were passing through.」

「A great little place. I’d enjoyed a stay here one time before—on a Monday night. This time it was a Wednesday so The Laurel was open! I checked in at 7:45 so only 15 minutes before closing. I walked down the stairs, they gave me a table, I had a fantastic cocktail and very very tasty steak bites with nice accompaniment. Asked for a change of room and the staff said you have to go back to expedia. It appeared that the staff knew there was a problem with that room. We don’t have pets, nor do we want to stay in places that are pet friendly if it can be helped. So to our surprise there was a dog in one of the rooms down the hall from us!
