The agency was not familiar with the rental. There was a broken table umbrella on the deck, and the deck had splintered wood and raised board causing a tripping hazard. I asked about beach equipment at the house...they did not know and stated they "could not guarantee availability". I asked about a coffee maker so I could grocery shop early and I was told there was only a drip pot, when in fact there was also a Keurig. The house was beat up: screens pushed out of the sliding doors, kitchen cabinets peeling, teflon pans in terrible condition, noisy window AC unit in the bedroom with gaps around it in the window, and carpet, furniture, and bedding was dingy and dated and stained. Access to the recreational room and the garage is from the outside only...you cannot access from the main house. There is only 1 small bathroom for all of the beds (including the two beds in the finished basement with no privacy). This particular bathroom has a water pressure issue and when the shower is on there is a high pitched whine in the pipes, and you have to hold the toilet handle down for an extended period of time to get a proper flush. The other bathroom is off of the kitchen on the highest floor. There were a fair number of bugs throughout the house. I live in Florida ( the US bug state!) and I don't have the problem this house did. You would think they would inspect the property between rentals, and they do not. To their credit, after I asked numerous times, they brought me some beach chairs and a new umbrella. I did not care for the fact that only bed sheets were washed, not the mattress pads. And given the current situation with Covid, pillows should have washed pillow covers in addition to washed pillow cases. The nearby pond is not easy to get to. You have to cross and walk along a busy highway with no shoulder and blind curves. I do not recommend it for children. Otherwise the location is good for getting around, and delivery of groceries and take-out was convenient. All-in-all, I would not stay here again.
