Cascade Bay Overlook is a wonderful cottage-style home located a short distance from world famous Rosario Resort. Situated on approximately 2 acres of groomed forest with mixed old-growth trees, you feel like you are in your own private little park. Walk or drive to the Resort to enjoy its many amenities that are available to Orcas Island visitors. Enjoy an afternoon at the Marina Restaurant (open seasonally) or check out the Pub or even the Mansion fine-dining restaurant.

But the real fun is on the deck of this wonderful cottage. Enjoy the views of the harbor below, the lounge chairs, outside dining table, and the three burner Weber BBQ. This south facing deck provides a sunny place to enjoy the views and peaceful, natural surroundings. When indoors, the sun warms this home through its wall of windows that invite the outdoors in. The great room includes the gracious kitchen, dining area for seven and seating area for streaming HD TV from the comfortable sofas and chairs.

There are two queen bedrooms, each with wonderful Simmons Black mattresses and luxury bedding that will make you feel pampered. There is also a small bedroom with a twin bed for that extra person who always comes along on an Orcas Island vacation.

You will find a full bath with combination tub/shower and a half bath to provide extra convenience. There is also a nearby laundry room area.

The heating and cooling system has recently been upgraded to ductless heat pump which offers an even heat in the winter and air conditioning for those hot summer days.

Note: The loft in this home is not available for guest use. Please note this home has 5 steps to the entrance.

Please note: residential internet speeds, bandwidth and reliability in the San Juan Islands currently lag behind the mainland. Guests who wish to use videoconferencing, streaming services, or multiple simultaneous internet connections should be aware that performance may not meet the levels they are accustomed to. Gorgeous house with vaulted ceiling and a full wall of picture window looking out on bay and beyond. Super comfortable both indoors and outdoors on deck. For a relaxing time this is your place. Just 10 minutes from town and almost on top of Moran State Park with excellent hiking opportunities for all levels.

Patio was nice, lots of furniture to relax on, view was almost as nice as the picture, though there was a house in front and some tree that blocks some of the view. Remaining of the house was good for a short stay. Very close to Moran state park.

We enjoyed our stay! The view was gorgeous and we loved sitting on the back deck. The BBQ was perfect to make dinner a couple of nights. The location near Moran State Park and being just 10 minutes from town was great too. The space was comfortable and clean. We would go back again!

Cozy with a lovely view

We stayed at this home during my race, the Orcas Island 100. It was the home base for my family while they crewed me around Moran State Park, so the location was excellent. Perfect little kitchen for cooking up meals, and a great deck for enjoying the view and running around to get wiggles out. Comfortable beds and nice amenities! Thank you for the gifts! I think the only feedback I have is that the spiral staircase that was chained off and off limits to guests (leading up to the loft) was an absolute magnet to my kids aged 9 and 11. The staircase is smack in the middle of the house and is like a beacon for climbing. It was a hassle trying to keep them off and I spent a good amount of time lecturing them about respecting property, and I have good kids. All they wanted to do was climb the stairs, sit down on the stairs, have a perch…. If I know kids, I’m certain other families had to deal with this too. If you could brainstorm this, it would be easier on your guests….

The view was amazing! We came for an event at Rosario Resort and wanted to be within walking distance. The home seems to be a little older, but the layout worked well for us. The deck is very nice, too.

Texas gals seek island adventures

This vacation rental does not disappoint! Very clean, nice, spacious and well appointed. The sleeping accommodations were comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep. The kitchen has everything to cook a variety of meals that any chef would appreciate. Location is great with gorgeous views of the bay through the treetops. Plenty to do nearby with quick access to dining, shopping, water sports and hiking trails.

Heaven on Earth!

The location of this property is fantastic. The pictures do not do it justice. Yes, there were other homes within view, but there was no one in them and the setting was so peaceful and serene. We saw wildlife right in the backyard each evening! The proximity to Moran State Park and Eastsound was wonderful. Orca's Island enchanted us, and we can not wait to return! Oh, and be sure to take a whale-watching tour! We used San Juan Excursions out of Friday Harbor and saw ORCAS!

Beautiful spot in Orcas

The house is nicely located, arrival and check-in instructions were great. The property was clean and well-appointed with a really nice and large deck outside. We enjoyed deer and birds in the backyard and the place is very close to both Rosario resort and Eastsound.
