“A luxurious camping experience with running hot water, electricity, and use of a washer/dryer. Not many places to eat around and the closest "grocery store" is very expensive (12 for a gallon of milk). Make sure you plan ahead and bring mosquito repellent!! ”

“We were looking for a place to stay for the night outside of Hilo while exploring that side of the island. This little cottage is clean, spacious and directly across the road from a beautiful, secluded black sand beach. It was magical! We would absolutely stay here again and enjoy it for a longer stay. I would have loved a single serve coffee packet to have enjoyed on the lanai in the morning, but honestly should’ve remembered to bring some with me. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much for……

“The place was very nice and we thought the location was really nice, kind of tucked away from the hustle and bustle but still not too far from town. The AC worked great and kept us cool at night and they left a large container of filtered water in the fridge, which was super helpful. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!”

“Each bedroom and bathroom being situated across the living room (one on far left, one on far right) from each other was really nice after traveling with our 2 daughters for a week. It gave us some privacy from each other and a treat to each have our own bathroom. We loved the lanai and 2 separate sets of furniture on it to enjoy the view. We ordered breakfast from the host to be delivered which was a special treat and tasted amazing.”

“As we were driving a series of long winding roads to this property we said to ourselves, “this place is going to have to be really nice to be worth the drive.” And it was. The nature sounds were amazing. Eating every meal on the lanai was lovely. The kids fought over who got to sleep on the lanai. It’s close to a beautiful black sands clothing-optional beach, and otherwise there’s not much to do out there. It’s not the best jumping off point for lots of island touring, but it’s the perfect spot……

“We loved this property and would stay here again! It was just as described. It's in a quiet residential area and is a perfect getaway spot with good privacy. It has lots of windows (especially the large ones in the bedroom), that look out on the lush rainforest. We loved hearing the frogs at night! The bed was extremely comfortable.
