So firstly of all, it is carefully and marvellously put together, very much worth the effort. Has air conditioning, and the full cabins have a big, comfy bed - the best of the whole trip. The people were really nice, the location was lovely, not a lot to complain about at all

What a really unusual place to stay. We loved staying here. The staff were friendly and really helpful, esp as the trams were not working so we got a great explanation of which buses would take us to various locations. I love the art deco period and this boat certainly did not disappoint. We will definitely be back! Its s hidden gem in Leith.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Ocean Mist. Such a unique place to stay and a brilliant base for exploring Edinburgh and Leith. The location is excellent, right on the Shore in Leith, with plenty of great bars and restaurants nearby and really easy access into the centre of Edinburgh by tram. The boat itself has loads of character and has been beautifully converted. Our room was comfortable, stylish and spotlessly clean, and breakfast was excellent too. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay and made the whole experience feel very relaxed. It’s one of those hotels that’s genuinely a bit different and becomes part of the trip rather than simply somewhere to sleep. We’d definitely stay again and would happily recommend the Ocean Mist to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Five stars from us!
