Cancelled original reservation 2 weeks prior to the trip.

The original property that was booked months in advanced was suddenly unavailable for us, due to the inability to confirm with the owners?! Impossible to get another stay by the beach on short notice-so our vacation was shortened to only 2 days- with a different property. There was compensation for short notice cancelation by the owner - but if I were to do that, I would loose my money. The owners should pay a penalty if they cancel within a certain timeframe- similar to the renter. Horrible experience and will never use VRBO again.
