"The place was charming and the room very comfortable and spacious. It had everything you need. The only complaint I would have is that because it is an old Victorian, every window and door is loos and there is no insulation whatsoever. That means that you can hear every sound from every room and even with a breeze the windows and doors rattle all night. I guess that's what old Victorians are like."

"Art is definately a theme here with many nice reproductions along the entire hallways. Many rooms do have small balconies and a view towards the rock. Note: this place is a 'long' 6 blocks or so from the coast, some rooms can see 'the rock' others cannot. There are at least a dozen hotels closer to the Embarcadero area along the bay. We came down to the continental breakfast about 1/2 hour before close and got the last piece of 'croissandwich' ... Nice building, etc. Good palce to stay."
