“A perfect holiday! The house is spacious, spotless and well equipped but it’s the location that makes this house so special. We enjoyed the peace and quiet but equally the house is great if you want to spend the evening in Ronda or head out further to Granada or Seville. Lise is a great housekeeper and made us feel very welcome too.”

“Just returned from a wonderful relaxing holiday in this beautiful villa. We were charmed by the village of Gaucín and its fabulous range of bars and restaurants. The villa itself its outstanding with so many different areas in which to sit back and soak in the amazing views. Extremely well maintained and equipped, we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Our hosts Mark and Star were incredibly helpful and kind enough to invite us for drinks in their nearby property, also gorgeous!”

“We were 3 families totalling 11 guests and villa Mateos in Ronda was a wonderful base for us to enjoy the beauty of Ronda whilst relaxing in comfort and enjoying our family get together. “We have had a great stay at the house. The house was perfect. We stayed in the middle of the summer, so it was hot and the house has airco in the livingroom and bedrooms. Very welcome!! The pool was clean and checked during our stay. And I must honestly say, the beds were super! This is the first time since a lot of vacations that I was sorry to go home because I had a great bed. The only thing I would have wanted to know is the road to the house. I was so happy we had an automatic car, the road……

“Our family spent six nights here in early June 2025. We were greeted warmly by Miranda, who gave us an explanatory tour. We took the route recommended by Waze, and quickly learned that the route past the recreation area is much more direct. The house has a jaw-dropping, unobstructed views of the Sierra de Grazalema. The 'pueblo blanco' of Montecorto was a perfect base for exploring this part of Andalusia. We went to Ronda (twice), Estepona (two hours), Grazalema, Zahara, Olvera, Setenil,……

"The owner put me in their nicer hotel Don Miguel due to internal issues. The hotel was stunning an right next to the gorge and bridge (what Ronda is famous for). Daytime photo is the view from the restaurant at Don Miguel......absolutely stunning."
