Graduation Week
We rented the VRBO for about a week for the college graduation of our daughter. Location of the house is in a quiet and picturesque neighborhood. House is clean and has 3 good sized bedrooms. Host response time for any email query was prompt. I would not hesitate to go back if an opportunity arose.

Everything fine. Very clean. Quote neighborhood. Water pressure low as pretty much on top of the hills but a spectacular view from master bedroom and balcony. This rental is for the top floor of the building, there is someone living in the lower floor but as build on a hill you still have a yard to the front side and a spectacular balcony view from the backside (SFO skyline and golden gate bridge).

El Cerrito Stay
The house was great, a good location and wonderful location to all things the Bay area has to offer. The bedrooms were good size as were all the rooms. It was nice to be up in the hills and have great views of the Bay & city. Fassil was a wonderful host, he brought us a rolling pin as we wanted to make Xmas cookies and a CD player! We cooked a lot and the kitchen was very well equipped. The Grocery Outlet store had great prices and was nearby. We would definitely stay again - we loved San Francisco!

Flatlanders visit the hills.
Our family took a trip to visit the Bay Area, and we were very excited when we arrived at this home. The view off of the balcony at the rear of the house is beautiful. Our host was so helpful and gave us tips on how to get around while we were visiting. The home was well taken care of, and all the items needed for our stay were in place when we arrived. Check in was very simple, as was checking out when we had to start on our way back home. I would recommend this home, and host to anyone thinking about visiting San Francico

Comfortable, large house with a great host
Fassil was a great, responsive host. We rented the upstairs portion of the house which we liked very much. It's quite scenic to overlook the bay. I'd definitely stay here again. One thing- we couldn't use more than one appliance in the kitchen at the same time as that would cause a circuit overload. Overall the house is maintained well.

Once again our stay at Fassil's home was perfect, with the colorful sunsets and comforts of home. We generally made breakfast before our daily outings to visit our extended family in the area. We hope to be back.

A home from home with just about everything you need in the kitchen, lots of dining and sofa space. Keyless Check In was very easy with no chance of losing the keys during your stay. On a clear day the view was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable house with everything we needed for a long weekend in the Bay Area. The furniture and the beds were comfortable. We especially loved the deck, the cool evening breeze and the view from the dining room while we ate. The owner is very accomodating and responsive. We would stay there again.

This property was perfect for us - my spouse, adult son and my sister and her spouse. We were attending a wedding at a nearby country club and enjoying the region. The rooms had comfortable beds and linens. There were ample towels and washcloths. We generally just ate breakfast there and the kitchen was well-equipped. There was enough hot water for numerous showers (instant demand hot water heater).

Spacious house for 3 generations with panorama SF Bay view
We were a grandparent couple, a daughter, son-in-law, and their two daughters (12 and 10). 3 bedrooms, 2 baths all located away from the living quarters worked well. Separate area with large screen TV great for the kids. The view from dining, living, and deck of SF Skyline, GG Bridge, Angel Island, Raccoon Strait, Mt. Tamalpais can't be better. Owner/host very responsive, and helpful.

The right place for us
Fassil's place is a lovely, quiet, and spacious home perfect for our family trip to the San Francisco area. There's even a great view of the Bay area. It was a luxury to have this much space for our family and in particular our daughter to convalesce in from her surgery. The kitchen is well equipped and to our surprise even had an excellent blender which came in very handy for preparing smoothies as part of the liquid diet requirement for our daughter. Thanks Fassil.

Berkeley Graduation Visit
We had a lovely stay here. Our daughter graduated this year and we wanted to be in Berkeley for the celebration. It was an easy (and beautiful) drive from the house to campus. The house was clean and spacious. We cooked breakfast and ate dinner in the house while we were there. We especially enjoyed the large dining table. We were able to enjoy the views as we sat at the table.

Nice big house but like most houses on rental sites it needs some care. Kitchen could use some work, not enough glasses. TP or napkins. Owner did bring some napkins when we said something. He was attentive. There were 2 glasses for a three bedroom house. Needed more blankets. And light bulbs burned out all over the house.

Spacious House with View
This is a large, comfortable house on a hillside with a sunny deck that overlooks SF Bay with views of SF, Marin County, Bay Bridge. There is a gorgeous park nearby (wildcat canyon) with short hikes with amazing 360 views over the entire Bay Area. Inside the house, there are multiple sitting areas with couches and two large separate dining areas. Bedrooms are quiet and nicely separated from the living area. Beds are very comfortable. The Wifi is fast. The owner/manager is very responsive and helpful.

Spectacular View in El Cerrito
This is a spacious home, with nice kitchen and living areas. There is easy access to Route 80. The view from the front deck and living area is spectacular, encompassing San Francisco, the bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, Mt. Tamalpais, and everything in between. And great sunsets! The host, Fassil Fenikile, couldn’t be more helpful and friendly.

Nice Property
This is a lovely spacious home with an open floor plan. Fassil was very friendly and easy to reach with any questions we may have had. There are many windows and sliders to keep the house airy and cool. Wonderful San Fran skyline view from deck when "Karl the Fog" is not wreaking havoc on the area. Would certainly stay here again.

This property was very comfortable. Spacious and user friendly. Property manager was helpful and readily available to answer any questions. I was with my family and found it gave everyone the space they needed About 40 minutes from San Fran by car. We used Uber most of the time.

Very Pleasant Stay
El Cerrito was an ideal location to stay during our 9 day visit to the Bay Area. We had 5 in our party and the three bedrooms were perfectly adequate. The house has plenty of living space and a beautiful view of San Francisco and the Bay when the fog lifts. The kitchen is fully equipped. If you are touring the area, Napa and Sonoma wine country is a short 50 minute drive. About the same to downtown San Francisco. The owner, Fassal, was very helpful and told us about a new passenger Ferry service from El Cerrito/Richmond to the Embarcadero with a beautiful tour of the. Bay. The first two days of our visit, the area was under an extreme heat wave. Since very few of the houses there are air conditioned, the temperature in the house was very uncomfortable. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would have been helpful for the rare times when this extreme heat occurs. Only other negative was the poor condition of the outdoor furniture on the patio. All in all, though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

Great common area...
The front garden area was a good way to get out of the wind and into the sunshine. Super views from the back. We enjoyed the spacious common area for eating, playing cards and conversation with family.

Nice space!
We were in CA for Berkeleys graduation. The house worked out well and travel time to Berkeley wasn’t bad as we could use residential roads and avoid the interstate. House was large, beds were comfortable. We were near Safeway, so cooked quite a few meals. There were various oils, some spices, some coffee left from other visitors, which was appreciated. I did write home owner about lack of mixing bowls and cookie sheets, so hopefully future visitors will have a little more to cook with. There was dishwasher and laundry soap available, as well as shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms. The table sizes were nice for card playing and eating. Quiet neighborhood, close to a BART station. Good neighborhood walking. All in all a very good stay.

Beautiful home in the hills
This is the second time we have stayed here and we love the spaciousness of this house. Fassil is aan excellent host and responds to all our questions and issues Immediately. We had a lovely week. The three gedroomd and 2 bathrooms Made it possible to have family over and we were able to give diner parties. Very clean and well kept.

Perfect place for family!
Surprisingly easy to find, this home provided us with a perfect base to visit our son's family for the holidays. We appreciated having two dining tables for food and crafts. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The view was lovely. We will look forward to returning when we get the chance.

Very spacious, clean, and conveniently located.
We (four adults and one pre-teen) had a very nice experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The appliances were in excellent condition. The house was showing its age with a number of little things that could be repaired or replaced, but nothing that impeded the enjoyment of our stay. Shower stalls were small, making it a bit of a challenge for those of us taller than 6 feet. There was an issue with the door locking mechanism, but Fassil was quick to replace the unit, and he responded quickly to our questions.

Spectacular view
Lovely, roomy, well appointed home in nice neighborhood with a complete unobstructed view of SF, the Golden Gate and Mt. Tamalpais. The owner is very gracious and accommodating. Lots of room for a family to spread out. 5-10 minutes drive to restaurants, shopping, BART, Tilden Park, Wildcat Canyon where my son ran on the trails. It would be perfect for warmer weather when you can take advantage of the terrace and patio.

The property was very spacious, but somewhat dated. Beds were very comfortable, and appliances were modern and worked well. The grounds were not well kept, but that was not a problem for us. Also, the property was in need of some maintenance, but nothing that affected our overall experience. We left the property almost 2 weeks ago exactly as it was when we arrived, so I am awaiting a refund of the damage deposit - haven't heard anything regarding this matter as of yet.

We enjoyed our stay. House was close enough for us to San Fransisco. Qe drove into the city every day. House was very spacious, clean, and easy to find. The house is outdated, but it reminded me of the house I grew up in:) My kids said it smelled funny, like their grandmas house, but I just bought some air freshener and we were good to go! Laundry facilities were awesome! Beds were so comfy as well as the pillows. The master bath is nice, the other bathroom is small, short sink, short shower, didn't work for my son who is 6'2", :) but my other kids were fine! Overall, everything that really mattered was great! We would definitely stay here again. Great kitchen too! Thank you for a great place to stay.

Pretty much met our expectations. Reasonably priced for the area.
I think the house is reasonably priced considering the accomadations and location. Theowner was responsive to questions. The BART is 1.3 miles from the house. It cost roughly $10.10 p/p round trip to downtown S.F. Parking costs in the city is absolutely nuts. The BART or Uber is your best bet. The house has everything you need. The house is outdated but but very clean. There is other tenants on the bottom level but never seen them. The house has a great location to get just about everwhere Napa, Sanoma, San Jose, etc. So glad we chose this location rather than the city of S.F. This house is 30 minutes from downtown S.F. either via Golden Gate or Oakland/San Pabla bridge.

Nice home with a beautiful view!
The home was perfect for our family of four with room to spare. Nice patio and deck to sit in the sun or read a book. It was the perfect central location for us to visit our son who lives in Berkeley. We were able to drive or take the BART to many sights in the area. We took a drive to Napa in less than an hour. Great week!

Nice house with great views owner is very nice only reasons it didn’t get 5 stars is someone lives in the lower half of the house And you can only use half of the driveway but I never saw or had a problem with the tenants downstairs just a little weird having your whole family stay in house that you never been to with someone living downstairs.

We stayed in this beautiful, perfect house for a month to organize things after my mother passend away and we could no longer stay in the family home nearby. It turned out to be a real find: big enough for the whole family with enough equipment to have family and friends for meals. Fassil was the perfect host, responding immediately to any little problems that came up. We had quiet evenings at home, dinner parties and days of packing and organizing the memorial service. The house is close to busses, Bart and stores. The appliances all work perfectly and the beds are good. We are grateful to have found this and hope to come back.

We stayed for 6 days and had a nice stay. The home is very large and lots of room. Sat out on the deck in the morning for coffee and saw a few deer, birds and humming birds. It was very warm and the rooms could use some ceiling fans. We enjoyed going into San Francisco and wine country. Did not use the Bart system. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Lovely and very spacious home!
We felt very comfortable and at home in this very spacious property. Everything was there that you might need for your stay and it was well kept and very clean. Our only issue was a heat wave in the San Francisco area as we arrived. There is no air conditioning in the house, but honestly, there is no air conditioning in any of the houses or restaurants in the entire area! It never (usually) gets warm enough to require it!!! After two days the weather cooled and all was fine, but be aware if that is a requirement, it's not there! Fassil was incredibly responsive and ready to answer any and all questions and point you in the right direction...that was great! So, back deck with beautiful view, front patio with table and chairs, living room AND family room, eat-in kitchen AND dining room...so very gracious and roomy. Thanks, Fassil!!!

Affordable Accomodation
We were visiting ( Aug 2017) San Francisco for the first time to do sight seeing - Fisherman's Wharf , China Town , Golden Gate Bridge etc. and decided to stay at this house. Fassil met us on arrival and brought a loaf of crusty bread , a bottle of wine , a hand of bananas and a 4 litre bottle of water. The house itself was clean and well kept , the beds were comfortable . The kitchen was fully equipped . The freezer was full - it seems from food that was left over from previous visitors. It could do with some purging. Each bathroom should have a plunger . We decided not to rent a car and took the BART to go to down town. If cost $9.00 round trip from El Cerrito to the Powell Station. and it takes about 45 minutes. The house is situated on a hill side and there are a few steep hills to climb - if you decided to hike it up from the BART station. In the morning , we would walk down hill to the BART station off Cutting Blvd (15-20 minute) and take a taxi back up . By meter it cost $7.50 - but there is $ 10 minimum charge. To get to the house from the Airport you could actually take the BART from OAK or SFO - if all you have is a carry on. However, because there there were 5 of us with checked luggage we took Super Shuttle which cost us about $100 one way. We stayed here - because it was affordable compared to a VRBO rental in San Francisco . It took a bit more effort - but it served it's purpose and we enjoyed our stay .
