“Staff was friendly. Room was clean. No sign of bedbugs or roaches. Climate control was very good. There were cosmetic signs of age and wear. Ceiling had bulges and screws and seems were showing that should be expected for its age. The only real negative was that the shower/ tub basin was curved and all the antislip hardware was peeled off, resulting in a couple of near disastrous falls while showering. Other than that concern the room was adequate. I would stay again for sure.”

“The in is an "experience" as it takes you back in time. From the minute you walk in and up the stairs you are transferred back in time. There are 11 rooms all on second floor and only one room with a private bath. Ladies and Gentleman have a separate area for private restrooms and bath areas. Each room has it's own unique decor (refer to website for complete description and don't forget to read about the history). There is no front desk as instructions are sent to you prior to arrival. Relax……

“My first day at the Moxy I went down to tell the front desk that my toilet knob was broke and I couldn't flush with it. They said they would fix it right away. They never came to fix it and so I sent down again on Saturday. They promised they would fix it ASAP. They still never came to my room so for Friday-Sunday, I had to stick my hand in the toilet tank to flush. Not ideal at all.”

“Hard to find, we drove around it twice. While we were given an occupied room, gave us another with 2 beds (at no additional cost-thanks🙄) a suit like he offered should have been nice for the inconvenience. Clean and friendly service.”

“Worst smelling room ever! Smelled like dirty feet. The smell seemed to be coming from the A/C. Febreeze didn’t even help! We stayed because I had my 80 yr old mom with me and she needed to get to bed due to health issues and couldn’t go one more minute. When I complained to the front desk, she didn’t really seem to care. The fire alarm was triggered in the middle of the night because someone was being stupid but that was not the fault of the management. They handled the situation calmly and……

“Peaceful and tranquil. Like traveling back in time when hotels weren’t high rise buildings. The trails and views are amazing. Comfy beds, clean. We stayed in Sassafras. Only thing missing in the room was maybe a dresser to put some folded clothes in. ”
