Charming garden cottage downtown Ellison Bay walking distance to lake and shops

This gorgeous downtown property is surrounded by beautiful perennials, climbing vines and flower bushes. The Cottage is located kitty corner from the Gus Klenke Garage on hwy 42 in downtown Ellison Bay and within walking distance to Door County Cider, local pottery shops, and an antique shop. Local restaurants and coffee shops include Kick Ash Coffee, Brew Coffee House, Wickman House, Mink River Basin Bar and Restaurant, and The Viking Grill all within walking distance. The Pioneer Store is less than a city block away and has deli meats, beer, wine, liquor and fresh and frozen foods.
The Cottage is attached to a seasonal retail shop with its own personal entrance. There is a spacious parking lot and a very large enclosed patio area with a picnic table, patio table and bench. The kitchen has all the tableware and silverware needed for eight individuals as well as a coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, full refrigerator, electric stove/oven and a dishwasher. The dining area has a fold-out table that seats 8 and has a large bay window. The living room is open and bright with a full picture window looking out at the patio. There is a brand new cozy couch with additional seating facing an electric fireplace and large screen tv that includes Spectrum cable and wifi. Provided are also Pendleton beach towels for your use. There is one bathroom that has a large sit-down tiled shower. A set of towels, hand towels and washcloths are provided for each guest. The first bedroom is very large with a four poster queen bed and corner windows perfect for relaxing with a good book. Large closet and shelves with a luggage rack and all bedding with extra blankets and sheets provided. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen bed with cozy bedding and extra blankets and sheets provided. A small closet and full length shelving unit for clothing storage. The third bedroom has three twin beds and two closets with lots of hanging room. All bedding is provided with extra blankets and sheets.
Owners live in Door County and are very open to accommodating our guests in any way we can so please let us know if there is anything you need to help make your vacation the best experience possible!

Charming cottage ideal for families or two couples. Tasteful decor and everything we needed for a weeklong stay. Extra linens and beach towels were much appreciated. Location was peaceful and quiet, yet only 10-15m drive to many Door County parks and destinations. As other reviews have noted, a little extra cleaning attention could be given to the bathroom and kitchen. We would love to stay again and hope the washing machine can be repaired (this was a key criteria for us in selecting a Door County rental).Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful property with us!

Vacation/family time

Much needed vacation for myself and it's a great place and location to have stayed at when my family joined me for Labor Day weekend. Willow's home is lovely and she has thought of everything for the needs of her guests.

Lovely stay in quiet Ellison Bay

We had the best week at this place! It was clean and exactly as described (honestly even nicer in person). It was just 1 block to all of the restaurants, coffee shops etc in Ellison Bay which is a lovely town much quieter than several of the other ones but still with plenty of great options as well as a park & beach. Only a 10 min drive to sister Bay and Gill Harbor, we found it very easy to get around and would absolutely stay here again.

Sister Trip 2024

Perfect Home Base

My sister and I explored Door County from this beautiful home base. The property is an oasis after a busy day. We enjoyed returning to it for a cozy evening and a good nights sleep. It was also nicely situated for walks to the surrounding area stores, restaurants, and park on the bay. Although we didn't need it, the upstairs bedroom is so cozy! We would definitely stay there again.

Biking Heaven

The cottage is in an ideal location for biking and restaurants. Very quiet after a hard days play. Our only complaint(s)were the bathroom sink needs some TLC, trickle of water at most and the sink was very slow to drain. Needed more kitchen trash bags. Ole time bikers

Beautiful place in a great location

This is a beautiful place to say in downtown Ellison Bay, WI (a very small village in Door County that isn't crowded like Sister Bay, Ephraim, Fish Harbor, and Egg Harbor). The owner was very friendly and quick to respond when we accidently locked out keys inside. (How embarrassing :-( ) It had everything we need for our young family of 5. The location is fantastic: two blocks from a great coffee house, a fun little grocery store, a wonderful restaurant, and three blocks from another great coffee house and a great place to watch the famous Door County sunsets. We would highly recommend it.

Cute little cottage

Nice place to stay in Ellison Bay. Very secluded with all the bushes, trees and flowers but close to shops and food as well. House was roomy. Loved the shower. Everything you need minus washer and dryer which was out during our stay but only a minor inconvenience. We did have trouble with it being super warm in the bedroom upstairs and house could use a good deep clean overall. Host were responsive. Nice stay. Would stay again.

The owner of the property is amazing! She is responsive and helpful. The cottage was clean and charmingly decorated. Our group of 3 fit comfortably, there would’ve been room for more. I would love to stay here again! Five stars!
