Clean home, great family spot!

very happy with the cleanliness of the home! golf cart was a great amenity for getting back and forth to the beach. elevator was great for getting large luggage and coolers into the home. the pool was just another added bonus. property manager was quick in response to the grill propane tank being low. 10/10 recommend!

Family Time

The house was perfect for our group. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the water. It does need a new grill, but we improvised and just cooked inside. Our family that lives in NC really enjoyed picking us up in the dock.

We have been visiting the beach with our family for 14 years and this year has been voted the best vacation ever. The pictures usually look better than reality, but I can honestly say the pictures don't do this home justice. The rooms fit our needs perfectly, the kids slept and played comfortably in their own room while their parents were worry free across the way. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed when we cooked in. When we wanted to eat out, we had a choice of a favorite local fish restaurant, pizza, and Ice cream parlor within walking distance. My morning would start with a run on the paved trail just outside the door. When I returned, everyone would be awake, and we would vote on taking the provided golf cart to the beach or use the well-maintained pool. The outdoor furniture looked new and was easy to be lazy while around the pool. The elevator was a godsend for my daughter who is still recovering from a broken leg from a year ago, and for loading and unloading the car. This was the perfect place for us and for the first time in 14 years, would love to return to your home for years to come. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

50 years young birthday girls trip

This property is absolutely gorgeous! 4 Bdrm spacious house with 4 bathrooms! A beautiful house with a great porch to enjoy relaxing on a rocking chair. On days we didn’t want to go out, we enjoyed the pool and the grill. Truly a home away from home.

Wonderful Week

We had a wonderful week on Emerald Isle, our first time at this beach in North Carolina. The communication with the owner was always prompt and positive. House was ready on time and had everything we needed for the week, especially the kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and all amenities worked well. Pool was serviced midweek and was perfect. Golf cart was so handy for getting to the beach because it was a pretty long walk with stuff and not doable for a small child. We had a couple minor issues that can happen in any house and the owner and the very nice property maintenance person (forgot his name!) responded immediately and fixed them with a smile!

Excellent Family Vacation Spot!

Our entire family truly enjoyed this place for our recent vacation. Having the pool and easy access to the beach via golf cart made for all around enjoyment by all ages. As it's in a residential area, the beaches were not overly crowded, even in the summer months, compared to the sections of multi-family condos. An additional standout was the fully equipped kitchen for all sorts of cooking; however, when not in the mood to cook, it's an easy walk to several nice restaurants. Highly recommend.

Perfect home for an Emerald Isle vacation

This is the perfect home for a beach vacation. Everything was great and as advertised. Bonus perk is that you can walk to get pizza, ice cream or visit Gaffer’s for live music. 10/10 place to stay.

Nice in every way!

Great accommodation! So nice and clean. Kitchen was super well stocked with dishes, cookware of all types, utensils, flatware, etc., etc. Bedrooms were nice and comfortable. Loved the pool, a bit brisk, but really nice for mid May. Golf cart was nice to have, operating instructions were provided for just about everything. We would definitely return.

Great house in a great neighborhood

Our group of 7 really enjoyed our stay here, it is a lovely home and we all had a great time. The house had everything we needed furnishings-wise, we brought our groceries of course, and were able to make ourselves at home. The neighborhood is great, located near shops and food within walking distance but also accessible by golf cart if you don't drive on Coast Guard Rd (you are allowed to cross it though). The beach is a quick enough walk, but the golf cart makes that quicker and allows you to take beach items down easily as well. We collected some really nice shells this year and a few pieces of seaglass. Thank you for allowing us to stay here, we really enjoyed it!

Great family getaway!

We had a wonderful first stay in Emerald Isle. We were very pleased with the layout of the house as well as the location of the house. Close to the beach, restaurants, bike trails, etc. We were within 10 minutes of everywhere we wanted to go and even walked to the grocery store once. LOL. We did not find it to be as well stocked (paper products/kitchen supplies) as some of the reviews stated but maybe we just have a different style of cooking. The board games were great for one day that it rained. Comfy beds and nice quiet neighborhood. Everyone was so friendly including a policeman who stopped and gave our son a free ice cream voucher for wearing his helmet. The Point was a great place for seashells! Our boys highly enjoyed the pool and the golf cart. We had everything we needed for the beach - chairs, umbrellas, etc. Highly recommend “Happy Ours”. Would stay again :)

Best vacation ever!

We love this house and can’t say enough good things. From the communication with the owners and property manager to the location, amenities, flow of the house etc. This is our second time staying here. The house is an easy walk to the beach but the golf cart served as a bonus with 6 kids under 9! The house also is set up lovely and allowed for more than enough space for our two families to be together but not on top of each other. Everything is as pictured and the house is always very clean on arrival. Def recommend for anyone looking to have a relaxing beach vacation!

Our Stay at Happy Ours

This is our second visit to Happy Ours. Great location. Convenient to beach, restaurants and shopping. Lots of space for everyone. We used the pool everyday. Rented bikes for the grandkids as the neighborhood is perfect for bike riding. Hope to visit again.

Beautiful home, great location, great pool!

We loved the location of this home right off of Coast Guard Drive, and loved hanging out in the pool. The beach was a 10 minute walk or you could take the golf cart. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed.

Loved the house overall. Pool was great. Golf cart was pretty much necessary to get back and forth to the beach with all of our gear. It's maybe a 10 minute walk otherwise. The negatives were few but need to be noted. The rug in the kitchen table area was a big trip hazard because it's edges were curled up. We had a senior citizen with us and worried the whole time. The internet was very poor. In fact, the TV's are all on Roku's and when the internet doesn't work, the Roku's don't work. Despite these concerns, we loved our time in this home and plan to return.
