"The guy who owns the property is a character, and he clearly loves the history of the house. However, the rooms are in disrepair—open electrical sockets! Stuff is everywhere. The place still needs a lot of work. It smells throughout the house of cigar or pipe smoke. The B&B itself could be amazing but it needs professional management!"

The rooms are of course old, and the furniture is to say the least well used, as are the fixtures and fittings in the rooms and bathroom. Nothing was not working, so functionally it was well maintained. For us, the carpet, curtains and fittings would be improved by a thorough cleaning, but that is not to say it was dirty. "Buchung und Kontaktaufnahme klappt gut. Anstatt GPS Koordinaten gab es eine Beschreibung. Das Haus ist okay gemäß der Beschreibung. Das Bett in dem zweiten Zimmer wackelte fürchterliche, die Eingangstür ließ sich nicht immer abschließen. Die Eigentümerin meinte, wir sollten einen Schraubenzieher suchen und die Schrauben nachziehen. Natürlich ließ sich das nicht machen, wir wollten uns auch nicht weiter einschränken lassen, ließen die Tür halt öfter offen und das Bett wackeln. Einen Handwerker...

"It was a beautiful location. The cottages are well equipped. There was a bit of a musty smell. I think that could have been the carpets in the bedrooms and sitting area. Wooden floors would be more hygienic. Having the hotel so close was the effect for the leisure centre and bar! A great weekend all considered and I will be back!"
