The perfect holiday!
We can not thank Alexandros and his family enough for our fabulous stay. The villa is beautiful, spotlessly clean with all the facilities you could wish for. We were collected from the boat and taken straight to the villa and made to feel extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The island really is a paradise, especially if you want to relax and rest. The beaches are the best we have ever visited and vary rarely busy. We ate at two local restaurants during our stay. Il Forno di Marlera, which is also the bakery. In the evening there are pizzas and at least two home cooked Greek dishes and a vegetable dish. Everything we had was amazing. In the morning, you can buy some of the best bread and pastries we have had in Greece. The staff are incredibly welcoming and make you feel like a local. We also ate at the very friendly Oasis Taverna. This is a more traditional taverna, that has a wide range of delicious Greek dishes. The staff are also lovely. There are two shops (one at the Oasis) and a larger one nearer to the port. This is well stocked and you even get wine advice (very good in fact, the wine was amazing) from the harbour master!
This really is a perfect holiday destination if you want to unwind and relax.
Alexandros and his family ensured this happened with their genourous hospitality and incredibly warm welcome. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and the only thing we would change is to stay longer. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
