We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel. It failed to meet basic standards and was filthy—from the hallway carpet to the kitchen area, which was too dirty for us to eat in. Our room’s walls needed washing and paint, the bathroom floor was discolored and stained, and the electrical outlets clearly didn't meet code. It was noisy, overpriced. In addition to the $111 room fee, we paid a $30 charge for a small do. The only positive was having hard flooring instead of carpet in the room.

The price was $188 1st thing we encountered was a full on fight with 3 other guest and the staff member. It was awful! Then they started yelling at us while we were trying to get to our room. Slept with chairs under our door and dresser pushed up to door. The next morning went to go and get breakfast and there was a person with a pair of underwear on and nothing else! We grabbed our stuff and took off! Do not recommend.

We did not stay at the Econo Lodge. It was not at all what the pcitures represented. The lady behind the desk did not speak good english and she was unable to assist with changing my stay from a no show to cancellation. We felt very unsafe. There were some very undesirable people (men) hanging out outside that just stared at us making us feel very uncomfortable. Inside a guy checking in arguing about having to use a card for incidentals. The room was for my daughter, granddaughter and myself. We were attending a wedding in Gladstone. We ended up staying at the venue. I have now paid for 2 rooms for 2 nights because of the misrepresentation. I would appreciate a refund for the Econo Lodge in Escanaba, as we did not stay there due to unsafe circumstances for my family. I did try to chat with an expedia agent but unfortunatly our time was very limited because we were there for an event. I am not usually like this but it was very disappointing and costly for me. I would again really appreciate a refund.

Front desk was open very late, thankfully. I needed to work out of state and didnt get done with the job until 7 p.m., it was also 2.5 hours away. Deposit was returned to my card promptly, which shouldn't be a talking point but I've been scammed out of it before. Didn't eat breakfast so I have no opinion on that. Shower was nice, the infrared in the bathroom worked, and the mirror was modern. Overall great stay.
