"Stayed for one night, the apartment was comfortable. The one downside to checking in was the timing was quite late at 5pm. however as it’s was only one night, and the complex is huge, I tried to walk to reception twice in the space of 90 minutes upon checking into my room and became completely lost. "This property is right across from the beach and the elevator that takes people up from the beach, so it can get loud at night. You don’t walk through the lobby to get to your room so you feel a little isolated. After you check in, you go back outside and walk over to another entrance where you need to code to get in. Your key is a regular key, not a key card. The room was a kitchenette, which was cool, although we didn’t cook, but it was nice to have a small refrigerator and the extra space....

"The service of the staff is excellent. All staff spoke good English and were welcoming. The room was very modern and clean and the mini bar was re-stocked everyday. On the first day whilst waiting for our room to be ready, we were on the roof top by the pool which was lovely. "Absolutely beautiful property. Amazing views of the city!I was amazed how it was so perfectly annexed in the old city of faro, yet the property was so modern and relaxing. The spa room was amazing, and the drinks from the bar were as well. I will definitely stay here again if visiting Portugal, it's a nice way to step foot into what the South of Portugal has to offer. "The property was beautiful, including the beach. The room was large, clean, and up to date. The breakfast was so fresh and with many options to choose from. There was a good selection of restaurants on the resort. The staff and service was excellent. They even called the room for a wellness check when my husband was sick. I would recommend this resort for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation, beautiful beach, and close proximity to nearby restaurants and popular beach attractions. "

Fantastic relaxing hotel

"The hotel is AMAZING so are the staff!! The room had a beautiful view of the ocean and pool. The swallows were so cute flying around the greenery. The pool was great! Every 2 chairs had an umbrella. We went down to the beach but you have to reserve chairs and pay for them which we didn’t not so we sat on the sand for a little while. They have 4 restaurants which we only went to 2 we had buffet breakfast that had a lot to choose from and. Are at the Italian restaurant 2x food is excellent and Rita is the sweetest! All in all it’s ***** Much needed beach relax after site seeing Lisbon and Porto"

"The staff was wonderful, as was the restaurant food and the facilities. Of all the locations at which my wife and I stayed during three weeks in Europe, the Dom Jose was the cleanest and most comfortable. Rui, who worked the front desk, was great, as were all of the staff. The only complaint was that there was no on-site parking, which meant paid parking near the beach or parking a distance from the hotel. Otherwise, we'd visit again."

"Everything was Great! My Only suggestion would be for the food to be kept hotter during the buffet. Or having Microwaves available to heat food. For the rooms, small wash clothes would be helpful (only had large hand towels to wash up with). "

"The hotel is conveniently set by the harbour and within easy walking distance to the old town, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is super clean, friendly staff and offering a lovely rooftop bar for the perfect sunset views. Good breakfast buffet accompanied by a piano player, rooms cleaned daily, we will definitely by returning. "
