I rented the Panaroma property to host an intimate family wedding for our daughter. The Layout of the bedrooms & bathrooms was very important as we were hosting new in laws & elderly grandparents (one who had just come home after a month long hospital stay) that we had never met.
Upon arriving we realized the lights in the main family room were not working and the space was dangerously ill-lit. I called Windcliff property management immediately and they offered absolutely no assistance. They told me the lights were working earlier & suggested I check the fuse box …..I personally checked the fuse box which was not the issue. Our elderly family tripped as a result of the lack of lighting due to a blind 3-5 inch step down leading into the family room. She pulled a muscle in her back. We were unable to use that family room the entire stay ….it was even dark during the day so it ended up being dead space for us. I moved a rug in front of the step-down because I tripped 2 times & I knew to expect it. Without lighting it was a problem.
In addition, the toilet in my daughter’s new in laws’ bedroom ensuite was not functioning and a bedroom pocket door would not close. We again immediately called management, Thursday nite an hr after our arrival & as soon as I was made aware of the emergency. We were told they couldn’t send anybody up to fix the toilet or door until the Monday, day we were leaving.
We asked for a partial reimbursement for the incredible inconvenience & were offered nothing, unfortunately. The Windcliff mgmt company was rude to me & my husband. They
told us they had done every they could. Incredulous, I asked how so? They told me they got in touch with their plumber but he was down the mountain, he would be there on our departure morning.
I was Mortified & embarrassed hosting new family that I hardly knew & asking them to use the community pool bathroom (which was a 60-70 ft hike from their bedroom & was not private) the entire 3 day wedding.
I rented this property based on the 87 (5 star reviews) & more specifically because the # of bedrooms & bathrooms were exactly
what I needed for our wedding party.
Windcliff management’s service was truly unbelievable, it was NON existent.
I can only assume that none of the previous guests needed any assistance with broken and non functioning things in the home.
Sadly, I can not recommend this property to anyone and do not plan to rent from this management company in the future.
