We recently stayed at this Vacasa property with a group of five, including our infant, and while the location and spaciousness of the rental were definite highlights, there were some major issues that affected our overall experience.
The Positives:
The property's proximity to Estes Park downtown and the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park was a huge plus for us. It made our trips to town and the park incredibly convenient, which is a big deal when traveling with an infant. The rental itself was spacious, and the view from the balcony is something we really enjoyed—definitely a peaceful spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
The Negatives:
However, there were several significant drawbacks that future guests should be aware of. First and foremost, if you're planning to work remotely, this might not be the place for you. The WiFi was painfully slow, averaging around 3-5mbps, which made even basic tasks a struggle.
The cleanliness of the property was another major issue. It was clear that the cleaning job was very superficial—there was dust everywhere, and we found wrappers, leftover socks, and food particles scattered around. We actually had to vacuum and mop the common areas ourselves, which is not something you want to do on vacation.
The kitchen utensils provided were also a disappointment. They were cheap and worn out, to the point where we didn't feel comfortable using them for cooking. If you plan on preparing meals during your stay, I'd recommend looking for another rental or bringing your own cookware.
Lastly, the lack of air conditioning meant we had to keep the windows open at night, which we didn't mind at first. However, the main road is very close to the bedroom, and the road noise was quite disruptive, especially with an infant who needs a quieter environment to sleep.
Overall:
While the location and spaciousness of this rental are strong selling points, the issues with cleanliness, WiFi, and noise made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped. I would recommend this property only to those who prioritize location and views and are less concerned with working remotely or cooking. For others, especially families with young children or those planning to work during their stay, you might want to explore other options.
