Oceanfront lodge has full view and partial ocean view rooms. View was stunning and that’s the reason to come here. It’s also walkable to the lighthouse and brewpub and park, all great places to visit. We visited the redwood Forrest from here and it was a full day adventure but doable from here. Lunch/breakfast was decent. We would stay here again when traveling to crescent city.

We stayed 3 nights and the ocean sounds at night from our private deck was something we enjoyed immensely.

The location is amazing - so much potential, but the property is in disrepair and dirty. It smells strongly of marijuana. The first room we were given had blood stains all over the thin bedspread. The desk clerk did not bat an eye when we reported it. We will not be staying here again.

This was a very convenient location for us, next to the glorious Jedediah Smith State Park and the wonderful Redwood National & State Park. The hotel is right on the beach, and we had a lovely view from our balcony, although fogged in most of the time while we were there! The onsite restaurant was very convenient and loved the pool table in the lobby — families were having fun with it. There is also a great brewery within walking distance down the street. The property seems to be getting a little bit shabby, and we could have used an extra blanket, but the staff was helpful and courteous, and we were certainly comfortable and happy with our choice!
