"5 star! Don’t hesitate to book Varu. We had room number 416 over the water bungalow with pool and it was a perfect location. We could snorkel to the beach, grab a drink and snorkel back. The sports center staff was fantastic. We enjoyed our excursions and highly recommend doing the jet ski tour with the manta rays and turtles. The staff went above and beyond. The only con would have to be that we stayed for 10 days and the food got a little repetitive but it was still delicious. Hopefully we get the opportunity to come back some day! "

"Firstly, we would recommend this island to all people looking for a calm, quiet space, who care about the environment and coral reefs. This hotel, in particular, has a good sustainability ethos and refrains from watersports that could disturb the coral reef and its inhabitants. We are a couple from London and arrived for a 9-night stay on the island. We were warmly greeted by a Kagi representative as we arrived at Male airport. The gentleman kindly escorted us and facilitated our seaplane check-in. This was a very smooth process. The seaplane itself was hugely enjoyable. It was lovely seeing all the atolls from above. We then had a boat transfer from the seaplane dock to the island, where we were warmly greeted by Cindy, our representative for the island. Our stay at Kagi was nothing short of amazing. The island itself is small, quiet, and in harmony with its surroundings. The architecture was modern yet aligned with Maldivian island vibes interspersed with greenery and flowers. There were multiple restaurants to choose from, all pre-arranged by Cindy, which made our experience completely stress-free. The food choices were extensive, and the food and drinks were exquisite. The ocean pool villa was stunning. The outdoor shower and bath were a nice touch, but the steps down to the reef were the best part. We had such amazing snorkeling experiences, seeing turtles, sharks, puffer fish, and lionfish, to name a few. Kagi is apparently well-known for its reef. "

"Amazing place, a piece of heaven. There is nothing here not to like. Charming staff who will give you the opportunity to think about nothing else but to immerse yourself in carefree everyday life. The rooms, services, food and of course the diving center deserve 5 stars. We were also pleasantly surprised by the not bad (for the Maldives) free internet on the island. A place we will definitely visit again."

"Just returned from a fabulous trip to Oaga Art Resort. We've been to a few 5-star resorts in the Maldives. This place is very special. We loved the incredible staff and sense of community they bring to your stay. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed and a part of island life. What I thought would be hokey - a Maldivian welcome dance on arrival, etc. turned out to be a very authentic experience. I would turn right around and go back tomorrow! Our "butler" or “Malemi” (Navigator), Schif was wonderful. She guided our stay in the most thoughtful and unobtrusive way. Her good humor was infectious, and she had an uncanny ability to turn up right when we needed her. The Maldives are beautiful. Who doesn't love a vacation on a beach - no shoes needed. The warm colored Maldivian blue water was pure joy. Our Haruge Beach Villa (with a private plunge pool) was just steps from the sea. We were able to snorkel and PADI dive. The nature and sea life did not disappoint. The sunset cruise was also a highlight. We were treated to Maldivian song and dances and soon the whole boat was dancing and singing along with our spectacular hosts. The Hoba Spa was also a treat. They had such a nice welcome ritual. We had couples deep tissue massages in a beautiful setting. Pasang, a Buddhist yoga teacher from Bhutan provided my treatment. She did a brilliant job for the full 90 minutes. She also ran the almost daily Hendhunu Ritual at the Hoba Deck which was a wonderful."
