Located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges, at almost 600 meters of altitude, our chalet wood is an islet of rest and calms. It is the ideal starting point for a multitude of outdoor sports activities both summer and winter.

The mountain-style cottage with a mixture of stones and wood was fully built in 2015 by the owners. This cottage is respectful of nature being a building with positive energy and the furniture of the chalet were made by the family with local wood

In summer, the chalet is the starting point for many family walks or for experienced hikers, including the famous GR7. You can also practice cycling and rollerblading safely on the green lane nearby (bike path of about 40 km). In the price of the rental in summer, we provide you with electric bikes. For lovers of aerial sensations, you can also admire our mountains from a paraglider.

If you want a calmer vacation, you can stay in the chalet and enjoy its large terrace and the heated private swimming pool (heated from the end of April to the end of October (depending on weather conditions)).

In winter, the Vosges mountains invite you to share its festivals of cross-country skis, alpine skis, torchlight descents, not forgetting the toboggan runs for the little ones. The cycle tracks, every winter, turns into a cross-country ski trail that you can reach directly by putting on your skis.
And don’t forget the Nordic bath, heated to 37°C and the sauna, very popular in winter, with a little dip in the snow to cool off….
Lovers of nature and sports, we will be at your disposal to advise you, so that you can fully enjoy your stay in this park of greenery.

“La Clairière Inattendue” offer you two chalets of very high standing “Le Grizzly” and “Le Lynx” on an area of ​​more than 20 000 m². Although located at the same address, each chalet has its own glade of 10 000 m² with a unique view of the mountain without overlooked. “The Lynx” and “Le Grizzly” are completely independent and are each equipped with its parking, its private relaxation area (swimming pool sauna terrace).
