We loved the string lights on the front porch, electric fireplace, comfy beds, and chatty chickens in the yard. “Perfect location for 2 people visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Staying this close made it easy to get to the park to see the latest eruption. The garden on site is beautiful. Some other reviews complained about not having hot water, the host clearly states it takes a while, so just give it time. And yes we saw a spider, took two seconds to remedy that. It's in the middle of a rainforest which is beautiful, but if you want to be in nature, you might just see nature. So don't let those……

“This guest house was all we had hoped it would be from the photos - nice interior decor with a lovely lanai (porch), surrounded by green beauty. “What a special place! We enjoyed our stay so much and found the location to be very peaceful. Sue is an outstanding host, responsive, friendly and very helpful with answering questions and providing information. Each morning I walked to the nearby cafe for coffee, then across the street to the bench overlooking the ocean. My son and I enjoyed each having our own space and being able to make meals in the kitchen. The breeze throughout the house was wonderful and we spent most of our time there……
