Overall, I’d rate my stay about 3 stars. The hotel was just okay, and honestly, I feel like what you’re really paying for is access to the lagoon. The lagoon is beautiful and definitely the highlight, but aside from that, the hotel doesn’t have a lot of amenities.
I stayed in a sea-view room with a patio for three, and it felt pretty small. The bed was especially small for a third person, the sheets were extremely thin, and there were no real comforters. I was so cold at night that I requested a second sheet, which still didn’t help much. The pillows were also very flat, so I had to request extra ones. Bathroom amenities were very basic, with only 2-in-1 products instead of separate shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I was glad I brought my own.
The food was okay but very basic. Another downside is that breakfast and coffee don’t start until 8 AM, so if you’re an early bird, there’s really nothing available to eat or do in the morning.
There are also a lot of stairs. The rooms are on one side of the property and the restaurants, pools, bars, lagoon, and snack bar are on the other. There’s only one elevator, so we often took the stairs instead. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility issues or an injury.
Lastly, staff helped with our luggage when we arrived but not when we checked out.
Overall, the lagoon is the main selling point. The rest of the hotel felt pretty average for the price.
