"Wow. We stayed for one night outside of Hallstatt. What a beautiful apartment. Loved the espresso machine available and the freshest farm eggs you could ask for. It slept three of us well. We walked into Hallstatt (3.5 miles). It was a lovely and very easy walk to get to Hallstatt. But Obertraun had its own charm. Would definitely recommend in all aspects!! "

"Pros: Clean, quiet and comfortable. Check-in over the phone was fast and efficient (be aware that you need to be able to make phone calls to check in!). Cons: Pretty pricey but it is what it is for a place within waking distance of Hallstatt village center. Internet was quite slow. "Location was absolutely wonderful - so quiet and peaceful yet so many ski lifts within 30 mins drive. Gabriela and her family were wonderful hosts - we really enjoying meeting the animals (cats,dog, chickens and cows - not forgetting the gorgeous calf Gloria). The cabin was perfect and we really enjoyed the sauna. Thank you so much. I hope we get to come back some time soon."
