Wonderful house in a great location - near Fish Bay but in a quiet, wooded area. The house was well-stocked and clean. The open layout in the kitchen/dining:'/living room provided a nice view of the woods. We enjoyed the gas fireplace on cool nights. Overall, a very good visit & we hope to return next year.

Great home base for all things Door County

This propery was great for our family. The large kitchen and family room area made for a lot of space for us to hang out and play games. The propery was fun for our dog who got to roam off leash due to the large property and fairly remote from the busy streets and neighbors. The central location in fish creek made visiting neighboring towns easy. Also the bed was super comfortable. Propery grounds really well maintained and was neat to have a yard in the middle of the woods. Friendly neighbors. We had a great stay.

Filthy carpet and dusty

The house was spacious and had potential but the once white carpet was covered in stains and didn't appear to have been vacuumed before we arrived, and the furniture had a thick layer of dust on top. I was inclined to start cleaning once I arrived but restrained myself. The location was very nice and peaceful. The carpet needs to be replaced with something a bit darker and cleaned regularly. The mattresses were not the greatest and it might be time to replace them. After I stripped the beds, I realized that there was no mattress pad on the queen bed which was disgusting. We paid top dollar because of VRBO's dynamic pricing and I don't think that the condition of the house warranted the cost and certainly not the cleaning and service fees. These were not the kinds of issues that the rental agent could have fixed during our stay but should have been noticed by the staff that maintains the house prior to our arrival. I alerted the agent about my concerns when we left.

In the middle of nowhere yet close to everything

We loved everything about this house and it suited our needs perfectly. We're have 3 generations of family staying and we love cooking at home. This was the perfect house to get to where we wanted to go and then come back to a comfortable and cozy house to make dinner and get the kids to bed. The house was super clean when we arrived and it had all the amenities listed that we expected. The grill was an awesome plus for our burger night. The 2 main bedrooms (queen and king beds) are great for adults and the bunk bed room which is super small was perfect for a 6 and 7 y/o who spend zero time in their room on a vacation anyway. The location is perfectly centered in the middle of everywhere and the longest car trip we had was up to the north part of the peninsula where you pick up the ferry to Washington Island. Otherwise, max 25 minutes to everywhere. We loved everything about our time at this house and will gladly consider it again if we come back to Door County. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Happiness is...

A house in the woods. Quiet, clean, bright, spacious, comfortable. Everything in working order. A clean freak ways loves having a washer and dryer. A short ride to anywhere. Located at the end of the road is was delightful to have an area to allow my geriatric best friend meander far away from the roads. Everything was greatly appreciated. Just the three of us.

The place was excellent get away. We enjoyed it, everything that we need was there. We decided not do any cooking, because we were on vacation and spend the time eating out. The dog enjoyed her stay and only slept on the bed with us for a few hours because of the thunderstorm that passed through. Meet the neighbor and he was enjoyable to speech with. The whole experience was excellent, will be planning on using this out fit again. Thank you

Clean great location!

Wonderful stay with my parents and husband! Very clean bright and cheerful. Great kitchen plenty of storage and lots of room for our family. Beautiful big outdoor wooded setting lots of windows and close to Fish Creek. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect house and location

This home is set in the middle of a hardwood forest, which made for beautiful fall colors! It was so quiet and relaxing! The interior of the house is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The location is perfect for visiting all the nearby towns and Peninsula Park. We definitely recommend this place.

Great home!!

We are first time visitors to Door County! They was several brochures on the desk and we scoped them out. All of the furniture made us feel at home! We had a few issues at first but the owner communicated with us quickly. Only one was not resolved. We looked for the TV remote in the bedroom and never found it. We do like watching TV in bed when we woke up but we just changed our plans for the stay. They didn't know where the remote may be!

Retreat in the woods

We enjoyed our weeklong stay in the woods outside of Fish Creek. This location worked well for our touring of Door County. The house was perfect for the 2 couples. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms; large, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. Very quiet area to relax. Enjoyed watching the squirrels defeat the "anti-squirrel" attachments to the bird feeders. :-) Our friends enjoyed bird-watching from the deck.

Fall fest fun

House was big, beautiful and clean. Lovely location! It advertised that 5 adults were the max. Turns out there were two couches and a rollaway cot along with the beds. I would have asked that the other two in our party be able to stay there as well instead of splitting us up. Expensive for five to just rest your head but lovely nonetheless.

Hidden Gem

Beautiful home and property; very quiet. Everything you need for a relaxing time...just bring the groceries. Home and property are well maintained. The caretaker, and neighbor, greeted us upon arrival; a nice Wisconsin touch.

Peaceful Location

The home is in a peaceful, secluded area of fish creek. The home is quite large, the kitchen is well stocked, and it was convenient to have washer/dryer on site. The downsides were that there wasn’t a table/chairs on the patio as listed and the wifi password didn’t work (yes, management was contacted, but it was never resolved). Otherwise, we enjoyed out stay and would recommend this home.

Great summer get-away

We loved the out-of-town, woodsy and peaceful atmosphere, yet not far from Main St. There was plenty of room, a well-equipped kitchen and great having 3 bathrooms. However we would’ve preferred at least another full size bed rather than 2 twin size bed in the second bedroom. It was also very clean and we would be willing to rent again in the future. Thank you! P.S. Beth was very helpful when we were locked out our first night.
