Springbrook Fish Lake Hotels

"This was a great property but the staff is a bunch of corporate playbook misers. They literally refused to print me a receipt - something I am entitled to by law mind you, and costs them perhaps a penny - because I had booked through one of the 3rd party booking sites (Orbitz). I have been booking hotels for 30 years, 20+ through Orbitz and this is the first time I have ever been refused this basic and legally required service. It blows my mind that this is the hill they chose to die on - I literally tipped the cleaning staff 500x or more what it would've cost them to print a receipt. I even double checked with the desk attendant: "so you're refusing to print me a receipt" and she defiantly replied "yes" - OK what a crazy power trip, and don't tell me "but we can't because our system blocks it", because a) that is NOT what you said and b) it defies literally my last 200 consecutive hotel stays in a row, spanning a dozen hotel chains including yours."

"This was a perfect little cabin for a quick weekend getaway. It was walkable to town, yet it felt tucked away in the woods. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything we needed."

"The cabin was so nice and cozy. The windows on the main floor allow you to look at the surrounding trees from anywhere you're sitting. The kitchen is well stocked for with all the pots/pans/knives you might need for cooking and baking. There's plenty of blankets, and the king bed upstairs is luxurious. Felt very comfortable here and would love to stay again."

"I gave it a 3 because the maintenance person tried to be helpful even though there was a limit on resources. Most of the rooms had sustained water damage so I was the only guest in street side of the building so the best part was how quiet it was day and night. Had the place to myself, even the office. The cell coverage and WiFi did not reach into the room. "

"Cabin was perfect for the weekend! Had a full kitchen with all the utensils needed to cook a wonderful meal! Had ample space for 4 adults to relax comfortably for an extended weekend! Perfect location within walking distance to downtown, the Musky, and the Lumberjack Competitions. It has a comfy firepit and gorgeous views of the river. If you are a reader, there are so many cozy spots to curl up with a good book in and outside the cabin. When we come back to Hayward, I definitely know where I will be staying again!! Thanks for the amazing stay!! "

"The house is a strange u-shape layout that is not reflected in the listing. The floor needs immediate repair, which is evidently scheduled, however, the boards are popping up in places causing some splinters, etc. The home is warm and otherwise comfortable. All the appliances work. I would suggest an alternative to the entry. I found the lock box for the key very frustrating. Also, it should be noted that guests are responsible for shoveling now and clearing the drive. "

"Had a great time at this cabin. Everything was clean and it had everything you would need. Bedroom and bathrooms were spacious and we had plenty of room and privacy. The wood stove was a bonus and they had firewood ready to go. The elevated view of the lake from the back of the cabin was great. Fishing was fun for us. You can get right on snowmobile/side by side trails right from the cabin, which is very convenient. Can’t wait to get back the next time - highly recommend for groups and families."
