Beautiful home, but disappointing policies and maintenance.The property itself is beautiful and well located, but the experience didn’t match the presentation. The check-in policy felt exploitative — standard check-in isn’t until 5 p.m., and guests are charged extra to arrive an hour earlier and even more for a 3 pm check-In. During our stay, the gas water heater failed, leaving the entire house without hot water, and it couldn’t be reset. We didn't realize this until the next morning when we attempted to take showers. At that point, reaching out to the property manager for a fix would have been pointless as checkout is 11:00 a.m.We also experienced the smoke alarms/CO2 detectors go off twice in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. Perhaps it was related to the snuffed out pilot light on the gas water heater. The hot tub is very nice and was enjoyed by the entire family. Though it should be noted that the house has a security camera that overlooks the hot tub and there is visibility from the neighbors next door, directly into that space. Something to be aware of for those who are concerned with privacy.It should be noted that the property next door has a dog that remained outside all night long, howling and barking. Overall, the house has potential, but the management policies and maintenance issues made the stay frustrating and far below what we expected for the price.
