Steve’s Barn Lodge, Detroit River/Lake Erie

Beautiful and fun Barn lodge in a private rural location. An “Up North feel”. Pet friendly. 10 minutes from shopping/restaurants. Perfect for out-of-town fisherman. Safe parking for your boat. 10 miles from Lake Erie MetroPark with boat launch, quick 16-mile drive to Sterling State Park. Private access to MetroPark (connects to other parks) for biking, hiking, running, fishing, kayaking, swimming ect.

May 2025 added full AC to the Lodge with multi-head mini-splits. Separate climate control head in the bedroom for maximum sleeping comfort!

Barn Lodge is Awesome

Great place to stay if you’re enjoying some Detroit River fishing. Awesome accommodations and we really enjoyed our stay. We definitely will be back.

Great Getaway

Property was well maintained. A long standing group of friends on their 20th annual guys getaway. The place was very nice. It was spacious with ample sleeping and a very bice bathroo. Excellent outdoor area for campfires and throwing the ball around. If we trek towards Detroit again, this will be our stop. Steve - thank you for everything!

What a awesome place, Steve’s a great guy, Are fishing club come up to St Clair to fish the national semi finals we had 3 boats and trucks very easy to get in and charge are battery the cabin is so safe and secure, we all had a great time together memories of a life time Thanks again

Fishing Trip

We stayed for a fishing trip and the place was awesome. You can tell theres alot of memories from hunting and fishing adventures and we got to make our own while staying here. Steve was very accomadating and jumped on any questions or concerns, even divulging some local fishing tips. We really liked the location for our purposes, being within a half hour of multiple boat launches on the Detroit river or Lake Erie all while feeling safe and secure to leave my boat and equipment overnight. Theres a high likely hood we will be back again next year!

Peaceful

This is a great location, local enough to anything we needed yet far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing. This is exactly as pictured, also had great little trails out back to walk our dogs. We enjoyed coffee and lunch on the back patio. We saw three deer one of the morning. I believe the back trials lead to the nature preserve. We didn't see exactly where this connected so we just drove over to Oakwoods Metropark (nature preserve). Highly recommend this park if you are looking for a beautiful place to hike, run, ride a bike, or walk your dogs. This is a great property. If you are looking for a peaceful get away- you found it.
