If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be a real challenge. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a pleasant start to your vacation in Campo Belo. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to pack a sweater in case it gets cool. Go for a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell during the flight. Leave the stilettos and chunky boots in your main luggage.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. The good news is there are ways to reduce your risk of developing it. Stay hydrated, wander around the cabin as much as you can and wear compression tights or socks.
