Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Dong Sing could be as easy as pie or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy travel tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any daily medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and don't forget to bring a cardigan as the temperature can drop in the cabin. Enclosed, flat shoes are also recommended.
- The condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises in your seat helps to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a pair of compression socks or tights also helps reduce your risk.
