We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and seeing the best of Ens in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack your passport, travel docs, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favourite shows are some wonderful options. If you plan to take a short nap, a neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by donning layers, and wear flat, enclosed footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
