If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be testing. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a pain-free start to your vacation in Hanö.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, travel documents, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a few toiletry items to ensure you arrive looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable products, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Don layers of natural fibers and remember to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin. Opt for a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the journey. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your checked baggage.
- Most travelers are aware of DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There's lots you can do to lower your risk. Wear compression tights or socks, stay well hydrated and keep your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
