We’ve rounded up all the info you need to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you’ll be hightailing it through airport security and enjoying Marble before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It’s simple — first, put in your passport, official ID, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you’ll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are some great options. If you hope to take a quick snooze, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you’ll touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The goal here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Layer yourself up in breathable clothing and remember to pack a pullover in case it gets cool. Always opt for flat, well-fitting shoes as it’s possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the journey. Leave the high heels and heavy boots in your checked baggage.
- The serious condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing regular leg and foot exercises in your seat helps to prevent this from happening. Wearing a good pair of compression socks or tights can also help.
