Wherever you’re jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you’re prepared. We’ve made a list of essential travel tips that will get your Mongu vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a worry-free travel experience is to pack ahead. So, let’s start with the basics: passport, travel documents, credit cards and medications. Next, take on board items that’ll help keep you occupied, like some electronic gadgets or a few magazines. It’s also smart to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones. Finally, be sure to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Layer up in natural-fiber clothing and remember to bring a pullover in case it gets cool in the cabin. Pick a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the stilettos and heavy boots in your checked luggage.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance travel is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another great idea to help minimize this risk.
