Awesome Stay
We had a super good time on the White River. My husband caught a really nice Brown Trout upon arrival. The place was spotless!! It does take a 4x4 and Kenneth was very upfront about that. Front wheel drive will work too. Great get-a-way. It needs a cutting board and the upstairs king bed needs a mattress, but that is the only thing missing. We had such a great time. Three couples between 49 and 65 and it had everything. Loved it.

Motorcycle trip
2021 Goldwing, two 1300 vtx, and a Kawasaki Vulcan rode in and out for 5 days…it was fun as hell. But if you don’t ride on gravel or boulders and trees...than I wouldn’t attempt this on a your bike. The river is beautiful and so peaceful. Very nice place, cold a/c. I ride with my boys. They will never forget this trip. The neighbors would come out to watch us climb the mountain trail on our street and touring bikes.

Great Multi Generation Getaway
This was a great 3 generation getaway playing games, fishing, bird watching, and hanging out by the river. The property was exactly as described. Kenneth was VERY responsive to any questions before, during and after. Fishing from the dock was great and kids enjoyed the "cool" water. The drive out can be a challenge for cars (as described) but well worth it.

We had a great time. We caught trout everyday we fished! We waded in the water, but it is very cool water! If your looking for lots to do, this area isn’t what your looking for, but if you are like us and want to be to yourself and fish… go for it! The water is clear and the area is beautiful! Everything we expected it to be.

Great private & peaceful White River Location!
Terrific setting with comfortable cabin and great waterfront access at the private floating boat house! Spectacular view of the river, mountains, & occasional bald eagle from the elevated covered back deck. Can catch fish right off the property and had our guide meet us at the boathouse. The owner is very responsive to your needs and has lots of interesting local history & stories to tell. Our second, of many more visits to come. Thanks again Kenneth!

Caught a Brown at Jefferson’s Cabin
The cabin is fabulous and the fishing is great! Caught a Nice Brown… Even when the river was flowing at almost max. The host is extremely accommodating and friendly! Great stories too! Loved the claw tub for a nice soak after a cold day! Would definitely recommend for fisherman and their guests!

Wonderful getaway
Vacationed here recently with the family for a quick spring break. Had an absolutely wonderful time, very peaceful, quiet, relaxing and beautiful settings. Kenneth checked in several times making sure everything was going well, great person and we enjoyed the exceptional hospitality. We fished several days with Robert who picked us up at the dock and had no issues catching limits and Robert was great working with my two daughters putting them in fish. Just a great time, great place, we loved it and will be back!

Excellent Getaway
This is the perfect place for some quite relaxation. The road in was gravel but nothing a truck couldn't handle. We were able to enjoy some hiking and fishing was there. Also, the weather was perfect for enjoying the deck during the afternoons.

Great private location
We have been to the White River several times, but have never stayed in such a peaceful location. Usually there are tons of boats motoring by. One morning I saw two other boats, We caught tons of fish with a guide that picked us up at the boat dock. Nice house, great location. A few stairs that tired out the people in our group that were in their 70s. A 4-wheel drive is good to have. There are two inclines leaving that make it nice, but our friends in a two-wheel drive truck were able to navigate the road too. Will definitely stay again.

The house was absolutely perfect! It was very clean and well stocked. It felt like home away from home with all of the comfy furniture and table.We loved the views from the living room of the White River. Great fishing off the dock and the bank. Our family had the privilege of staying in this fantastic location! Cabin is beautiful and well kept and Kenneth is a congenial and attentive host. Do take host's advice about driving a 4wd vehicle as there is a steep incline at one point in the road. Thanks Kenneth, can't wait to come back!

Quiet retreat on White River
Property was what we expected. Road getting to and leaving from was a nightmare. He had warned us but then it rained and nothing prepared us for the ruts and loose gravel and mud. The gas stove was also an issue. Heat at burners was hard to regulate and the oven never got hot enough to bake anything in a timely manner. There were ceiling fans throughout the house which was great because the temps were in the 100’s for several days while there. They were quite dirty though. Porch was fantastic, there were fans there as well. we viewed eagles and hawks.

Riverside Getaway
This house is perfect for a remote getaway on the White River. The view of the river from the porch is awesome. If you need to cool off you can go down to the boathouse where the temperature is quite cool. It has plenty of room for a large group and has all the amenities that you need for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed our visit.

Wonderful Cabin
The pictures do not quite do the cabin justice. It is fully equipped with kitchen supplies. The only things I would recommend bringing are maybe a few extra bath towels and extra ice. We used a lot of ice and the machine couldn't quite keep up ;) The views are spectacular and the area is quiet. Be ready to rest and relax. Our host was very kind and available should we need anything. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Get away and unwind
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The view of the river is beautiful! We were hoping to get in the water, but with the current and the chill of the water we quickly learned this was just time to enjoy the view. Our kids loved the loft rooms, and there was plenty of room for 8 of us. Be prepared for the challenging gravel road that leads in and out of the property. Our minivan didn’t make it up the steep gravel road on our first attempt and we had to slowly back down the road to try again. We enjoyed our time and were able to visit both Norfolk and Bull Shoals lakes since they were close by.

Great retreat away from the crouds
We wanted a peaceful place on the water away from the hustle and bustle of our usual lives, and the house worked out well. The remote location and challenging access road ensures little to no people around, and lot's of quiet. We enjoyed the dock, the rabbits, and all the deer wandering the area. The house is set up great for the 4 adults and 5 kids that we brought, although little ones will need watching on the hill and near the water.

REMOTE RELAXATION
The cabin was very nice. The view from cabin was spectacular. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean. Rail on stairs going down to river needs repair. Steep hill was a little difficult to get up otherwise it was very relaxing and enjoyable. Would consider coming back.

Our trip to the White River
very,very clean and all amenities were as quoted. Appliances were like new and worked I am 81 years old and am quitte active for my age, however II could not manage to walk the25 steps to get to the river so no fishing for me. I suggest this could be ammended without it breaking the bank.

Wonderful Place
This house is excellent. Beautiful view from the deck. River is just below the house. About 30 stairs down to the water. Lovely inside the house. Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Pretty new Webber gas grill with plumbed gas so no worry about tanks being empty. We had a wonderful time. Definitely will return.

We spent an amazing week at Kenneth’s cabin and are already preparing to book a return trip! I can’t imagine that there is a more beautiful location on the White River. It is remote but we had no problem getting there in a 4WD Jeep. The quiet and peacefulness of this place can’t be overstated. The cabin has everything you need and Kenneth is just a phone call or text message away. It was also a wonderful vacation for our dog who enjoyed roaming the area and sitting on the dock. From watching the eagles and hummingbirds to just listening to the water run, this was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years. Highly recommend – worth the drive and the price!!

Peaceful retreat
We enjoyed our stay with our family at this house. The view is mesmerizing, the porch swing was the most popular seat in the house. The check in directions are clear & easy to follow. Wi-fi available as well as satellite tv but those weren’t used much because sitting on the dock watching eagles was much better then anything electronic. It is off the beaten path & perfect for a peaceful retreat from the busy world.

Chillaxing Cabin
Relaxing cabin! We arrived to find the cabin decorated for Christmas with tree lit up and a string of fish lights around the porch door. :). The cabins 2 full baths including large tub upstairs and 2 half-baths which was a perfect setup for my family of 6. Huge windows and a full-length porch gave us a beautiful view of the White River. Oh, bring some suet for feeding the various birds during the winter months, and you will have quite a show. There’s plenty of hiking, fishing, talking to the friendly neighbors if you wish or relaxing by the fireplace watching movies on the big screen TV. The atmosphere was a perfect respite for my family. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Great Stay
This cabin is perfectly located right on the White River with its own dock access to the water which we had lots of fun fishing right off of. The cabin is perched high above the water with a sturdy staircase leading down to the dock. They've placed stepstones to mark a path to the ramp access to the dock. Lovely and helpful. The cabin is perfect with plenty of bathroom access for anyone needing to go. The decorating is charming! We enjoyed the firepit, the grill, the lawn area, climbing the hill, foggy morning hikes, owl calls, and night stars. The rain during the week made for peaceful time loafing on the deck with a book. There is a full dinner table for a meal outside with another table that seats four and a lovely porch swing. The porch is so grand, all the seating fits easily with room to move freely. We heeded Mr. Kenneth's directions to drive a 4WD or FWD out, so we rented a Toyota 4Runner and had no problems. We have driven plenty of back roads and gravel roads in our personal sedans. The condition of the roads was good, but a sedan is too low to the ground for the last leg of gravel road to the cabin and the hill on the way out from the cabin is too steep for anything but 4WD, AWD, maybe Front WD. We felt great in the 4Runner and my in-laws made it in a Honda CRV Front WD with a running start. The cabin is totally worth some preparation. We did not catch but a few rainbow trout. They are not jumping out of the river on your hook. The whole experience was excellent. Arkansas is truly God's country.

Great location with a beautiful cabin, covered deck and dock.
Ken was always helpful before and during stay. Spectacular scenery and changing mist on White River is not to be missed! The road closest to cabin is not to be underestimated but we made it in AWD Hyundai Tucson by the skin of our teeth. We only had to go in and out once because we brought everything we needed. It was worth it for the beauty and remote feel. We fell in love with the river, Osark, and Arkansas. Thanks for sharing!

Lovely home in the mountains. Right on the white river. There are two bed rooms down stairs with closed doors and a shared bath with a shower. Up stairs there is a shared bath with a tub and two open rooms. House sets east/west. Big porch great kitchen/ good shared family room. We did not cook at all so can’t comment on that but it looked to be fully accommodating. We did make coffee so the coffee pot works great. It is a bit far out. I’d say 15 min drive down main road. The main highways are paved. Once you turn off, there is about 11/2 miles of paved and 3 of dirt. The last part is steep. We had a jeep 4x4 and no problem. Parents had a Highlander. Front wheel drive and no problem. Brother had a Honda sedan. They were able to get in and out but we left it there and they rode in one of our other two cars. I’d recommend no cars low to ground if it rained you’d likely have trouble. We all discussed. This is a great trip location for wanting to get away and cook in and bring your own food. Chill. Fish. Play games. It has a place to dock a boat if you bring one. We were there to go to a family reunion in Mt Home. It took us minimally 30 min each way. And we did all our meals with family there. So if you are doing an event & going in and out, there are other places that would be better. But it definitely sleeps 8. The only negative for those sleeping up is it is open. No black out shades. Be prepared to get up with sun. :) overall we all liked it though and would stay again.

The best and most beautiful cabin on White River
This cabin was everything we hoped for and we were certainly not disappointed. The cabin was very clean, well stocked and very comfortable! The peace and serenity of the cabin was wonderful. So quite and the evening breeze coming from the river was very nice. We enjoyed watching the deer early in the morning and in the evening and the eagles were beautiful! This booking was great from start to finish and the owner is just a phone call away if you need anything. I can’t say enough great things about our stay and we will be back again soon!

Beyond Remote
Arrived at location to find out that the two-track "road" leading to the house was washed out. My front wheel drive Equinox, with new tires, couldn't make it up the hill from the house, let alone the 4 motorcycles I was traveling with. Description said some of the road may be rough and steep...it was worse than that. Would not take anything but a 4x4. We never saw or stayed at the house, couldn't get to it. The owner, Ken, was aware we were driving motorcycles, (3 weeks before we arrived by communication through VRBO, and made our final payment) and didn't caution us against driving them in.

I have instant booking. Assuming that guest have read all the desciption, etc prior to booking. In my description, I say that a 4wd is recommended. When Ms Hevel notified me that they were riding motorcycles, I reminded her that part of the road was steep and rough. When I recieved the call at 8:30 pm, I rushed out, my truck on empty to access the situation, and to help. Long story short: After me offering options to help accomedidate their stay, they refused. The guest were rude, vouglar, and I refunded half thier money.
