After the el mirador trek I stayed at hotel Santana and it was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent staff and the room was clean and beautiful with a great view. The restaurant below was very good also. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Very nice.

Nice dining area on lakeside patio. Breakfast included in price of hotel.
It was right in the edge of the lake, so the views were spectacular and the area was very walkable. It also was close to many restaurants and shops and even had a restaurant onsite.
Hotel Santana is in such a good spot on the island. It is around a lot of good restaurants and its restaurant is excellent as well as we learned from our breakfast that was included. We had a beautiful view from our room and had a very smooth checkin and overall experience there on the lake!
Really nice hotel on the quieter end of the main hotel lake front strip. The area for beakfast overlooking the lake is lovely. The hotel is on the side of the island that doesn't flood, which is a real bonus when compared to other hotels in the east and north east.
I stayed at Santana for two nights with my family and we were very happy with our stay. The hotel is comfortable and the restaurant and cafe were great. It was really nice to have a pool there. the hotel staff is really helpful. Highly recommend

Great location. Wonderful air conditioning. Children enjoyed the small pool. Nice shower and beds
The Hotel facilities were good, the staff excellent and the staff friendly. However if you want a good night sleep DO NOT stay at this hotel. There is a disco tech right across the street that provides more decibels of noise to 1AM than one can endure.
The views are beautiful from the lakeside rooms. Best balconies to look at the sunset and lay in the hammocks. Nice restaurant downstairs with best margaritas and food, and very attentive and kind staff members to help. Great location and comfortable beds and warm water and good water pressure.
Totally cute hotel. Clean. Safe. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. AC worked great. Fabulous showers. Beautiful view from the balcony. Perfect place to relax after visiting Tixal and Yaxhá.

Great location for walkability to everything in Flores. Staff were very friendly and the included breakfast was excellent! Room was in decent condition, loved the hammock overlooking the lake on the balcony, but the room lacked a black out curtain and the bed sheets were thin. They arranged transport for us from the airport and back and that was great. LOTS of noise from the disco across the street, the boats playing music, and just general noise within the hotel and from the street. If you need quiet, would not recommend, but otherwise this was a good place to stay in Flores.
Best room in town if you want a decent balcony and lake view. Rooms are clean and functional. Included breakfast choices decent. Restaurant staff pleasant. From desk staff accomodating but not particulary friendly
Great Location on the island to stay.
I was not a fan that the rate changed once I got to the reception. I paid more for it but the room did change.
Overall was an ok experience a bit loud out the hallways.
Need to update rooms and be more customers sevice. The first lady in reception was friendly.. the rest really slowcto help ... the breakfast was great ... pool need update and rooms ... 😩 overall 5 out of 10 .. and be nicer to people from united states.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Pros:
- good air conditioning
-nice view of the water from the room
-staff cleaned the room everyday
-breakfast included
Cons:
-very loud night club nearby, but I was still able to sleep ok despite this
-you need to pay a significant deposit for the safe key
-my room was on the top floor which had a lot of stairs. No elevator
-rooms were dated, but clean
-wifi in the rooms was not the best
I had expected a bit more for the price, but the stay was ok.
When visiting a new town in a foreign country we usually book only 1-2 nights at a hotel to try it out before booking more nights or moving on. We were happy to extend this stay from 2 nights to 5 after sleeping here 2 nights. The room on the 3rd floor lakeside was clean, had beautiful views, sunny, had air conditioning, hot water, daily housekeeping, blackout blinds, decent wi-fi, and free bottled water & shampoo. Staff were friendly enough. The restaurant offers several of their breakfast entrees free with the room and other choices are available for ~Q50-60.
The pool deck is worn and the pool area is in a cramped space by US standards, but excellent by Central American standards.
The only downside is the nightly bar music and partying that lasted til midnight on most nights, even weekdays. Some party houseboats leave from the dock outside the hotel. I saw similar noise concerns in reviews for most of the hotels on the island. I suspect any streetside room would have plenty of street notice from tuk tuks and motorcycles until 10pm or so and any hotel near a bar will have the music noise. If you need quiet and you want to stay on the island, your best bet is probably an inland alley away from the perimeter road.
The island itself is mainly restaurants, hotels, and a few small stores.
We hired a private lancha from the dock for a few hundred Q to spend 4 hours motoring us around the lake to Arcas, San Miguel, and the little Mayan museum on Isla Santa Barbara.
