"Our shepherd hut in Pinewood was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Staff were always on hand if needed and really helpful at checkin (the process for checking in and out was seamless). Marshmallows, skewers, logs for the indoor and outdoor wood burners, and upmarket tea bags all complimentary; only let down by basic Nescafé coffee sachets and pots of UHT milk. A small fridge would be useful to allow for proper fresh milk and keeping drinks cool. Beds were comfy and the separated bunk beds over the main double an ingenious use of space. Nice toiletries. Excellent location within the park, right next to the lions and tigers as well as the entrance footbridge from the car park making for easy loading/unloading of luggage and getting in and out of the resort (only downside to this is it is right on the road so while you are well separated and can’t see the road there is traffic noise). Quick stroll to the park Base Camp, and an easy downhill walk through the animal enclosures to our favourite eatery Baby Dolls for surprisingly excellent pizza - but especially with children you’ll probably want one of their smart Black Cabs to take you back up the steep hill and they can take a long time to come so plan ahead!"

"Great treehouse with buggy. Up early to go around the park with the buggy. Loved the clubhouse bar, toasting marshmallows over the fire. We would return, loved the animals, grounds & restaurants too! "

"We’ve just returned from our second stay at Bunny Cottage in Saltwood, and once again, it was absolutely wonderful. Coming back felt like visiting an old friend—warm, familiar, and full of charm. The cottage is just as delightful as we remembered: beautifully kept, cozy, and thoughtfully furnished. Everything is spotless and well-equipped, making it easy to relax and feel at home. Saltwood itself is a lovely village, and Bunny Cottage is the ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside and coast. It’s rare to find a place that feels so welcoming and special, which is why we didn’t hesitate to return—and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, tranquility, and a touch of English charm."
